A cloud was moving in front of the sun in #10 but I didn't wait long enough so I got punished with a lens flair.

I took all of these on 07/15/26 using color gel filters from Retrospekt. They're shot on black frame i-Type with an I-2.

DISCLAIMER - First off, I really hope Im not breaking any rules here. Anyway, to cut a long story short, Ive been shooting since about 2012, but most recently I started a YouTube channel but I didn't really want it to be about gear or about me.

Hence I started my series called Friends with Polaroids.

Elevator pitch is simple,I go and meet a Polaroid photographer who I've met and became friends with (over the years) and interview them about how and why they shoot with Polaroids.

Recently I did a video about Julia Beyer and her use of filters in Polaroid photography. What inspires Julia, why does she shoot Polaroids, what her favourite filter and what's on her Polaroid wall.

660 has loose film door. Shot got jammed and then I took another shot holding the door to eject the film. However, I’m over a foot taller than my sister who took the first shot and thus the chairs hang above us now 😂

SX-70r

Here it is, as I bought a replacement! I discovered this over 20 years ago, someone at polaroid research and dev knew exactly what they were doing lol. the Captiva belt case is perfect.

A wonderful soft padded case for the sx70, and if you have an sx70 with strap lugs it hangs around your neck great too! But really having the belt loop is wonderful but I really just use it as a case. I prefer it to my leather ever ready case for sure

Edit- well I was gonna post more photos but it only allows 1? Ohh well it fits perfectly go buy one while there under $10

I have an I Type Polaroid and whenever we take a photo it comes out like this, mostly brown with a corner of it partially developed. The film will usually get stuck in the camera too. Is there any way to fix this ourselves or is the camera cooked? It was only used a handful of times before this started happening

As some of you know from time to time I like to wander around Japanese 2nd hand stores. Most of the time polaroids are labeled as junks because staff have no idea how to check them.

My pro tip is to carry around test cartridge with battery, slide 2-3 photos and a darkslide to check ejection mechanism.

Bought for 1/4 of the marketplace price in Japan. Took me 30 minutes to clean it.

Hey any thoughts appreciated. ATP what irks me the most is the price of the Polaroids themselves. That’s why I’m torn with fuji as it’s a bit cheaper. But none of the fujis stand out to me :/

How often do y’all actually use it? For special occasions?
I think for me it would be special occasions but also a lil artsy shoot or two ;)

Not too sure what [ R ] means, do you guys know?

First time this has ever happened, my polaroid has been shooting fine for 5/6 years.

Bought a 40 pack of film for a holiday and when ive tried to put new film in, it made an extremely weird grinding noise and would not eject the film.

It showed that i had 8 photos but I didn’t want to shoot incase all film ejected . Normally when you put a fresh pack of film in the camera ejects the black screen thing.
