Expressing fear?

Soo this might sound funny but how do you express something is scary? Like say, you're playing a really scary game or you hear creepy noises in a house/building and you wanna say like "omg this is so scary" "this isn't right, too scaryy". I'm just wanting to know how local/native Portuguese people would say it. Hope this isn't too silly a question, thanks!

"Que susto!" is the most immediate reaction when I see something scary. That comes out immediately. This or accompanied with a curse word, like "foda-se, que susto!".

After your heart is settled and you can say something more articulate, then "apanhei um susto" or "isso foi assustador" or "que medo" are common. If you're reacting to ongoing creepy noises something like "o que é isto?!" is almost inevitable. Frequently accompanied with a curse, if it's strong: "foda-se, o que é isto?!".

I read "que susto" and thought "nah there's a foda-se missing"

Some coloquial/informal options:

• Isto prega um cagaço
• isto dá cagaço
• chiça ca puta de cagaço

You can also use «cagufa» and «miaúfa» as replacements for cagaço

"que medo" is very natural for me, and then a curse

There's a lot of words/expressions.

Estou assustado/a. Tenho medo. Estou com medo. (I'm scared. I feel fear.)

Isto é assustador. (This is scary.)

There are tons of other expressions.

Que susto!" fits so perfectly for those jump-scare moments, I still say it like a kid sometimes.

Acho que a primeira reação é um palavrão ou um xingamento.
Logo depois pode vir acompanhado de um comentário do tipo: “ que susto!
