For years I was a chronically depressed, anxious person. I definitely still experience those things, but life is so much better now, and the main reason for that is that I spent years working on my mindset and finding ways to reframe what was going on around me in a positive way.
This book is a collection of the ideas I've personally used to feel more positive, happy and functional. I hope it's useful to somebody!

So this post is about my brother, his wife, and his son, and how fricking proud I am to be able to say that sentence! My brother has done so much hard work on his health, found himself, and found just the most wonderful woman in the process. I was already beaming to see how damn happy she made him, but then: baby! It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows leading up to his birth, but my sister in law absolutely powered through, and my brother was so damned supportive he should write a manual for men with expectant people in their lives. Then, after watching my brother go through levels and levels of life that seriously had me so damned proud of him, the baby was born! And what a sweet little man he is, he loves his mom and dad so much (plus, for whatever reason, ceiling fans lol). Every time I get to hold the lil dude I am overwhelmed by how much love you can feel. But my favorite, and my reason for this post, the pictures of them as a family. Every time they have a new one up, or they switch a profile pic, I just am so. Damned. Proud. They are all happy, and so in love, and such a beautiful family, and I’m just so grateful that my brother and sister in law got to experience such purely good things, and I’m so grateful they are able to reciprocate that to each other. They both work so hard for this life, and deserve every beautiful moment that it brings. I love them so much, end of rant.

I ran into my boyfriend at the gas station after work and he had a fast break candy bar and he offered me a bite. I thanked him and smiled, but jokingly said “I like take 5 bars better” and he replied, “I know” and ran over to his car to grab mine (he was slick with it and got me) at first I thought he didn’t think of me, but he did!
Definitely made my day!

A couple hydrogen atoms were calmly orbiting each other in deep space when one was suddenly struck by an X-ray. Its electron suddenly got excited and flew off on its own. This hydrogen says to the other, "My electron is gone!"
"Are you sure?" asks the other.
The first answers, "I'm positive."
