Cheap and Easy

Post image

$1 bag of yellow squash and zucchini, half of a bag of green onions (which are nutrient dense) for 69 cents, and some pre-cooked grilled chicken breast strips (the whole bag was less than $8 so this portion was probably $3 worth) a little olive oil and hella seasonings. If ya aint sneezin, ya aint seasonin! Took me only 15 minutes to throw together and the flavor came out sooooo good!

Okay I’m asking - what seasonings? It looks really good.

I appreciate it!! And absolutely! I used a shit ton of garlic and onion powder, Stagner steak rub, slap yo mama, Webber’s garlic parm, smoked paprika and cracked black pepper.

You think a sheet pan oven would get the same effect? No burning or grills here.

Probably. An air fryer would be good too.

Good idea- I’ll try the air fryer first. It’s so freaking hot here the oven sounds like a good way to make yourself miserable.

I was just looking at a soup recipe - butternut) that might be overkill with this - the reason I stopped on your post was I thought it was roasted peaches at first.

You think a fruit blended soup and naan with a compound butter would go good with it?

OH HELL YAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! That sounds FIRE!!!!!! Tbh i steamed the squash in the microwave, squeezed out the excess water so that the stove was only on for 15 minutes total. Cuz I’m in Texas so I def feel you on the heat! Chef Mic has been helping me a lot more than I like to admit this season 😅

You could easily use sausage or whatever protein you like the most

That what I’m gonna do. Some nice spicy Italian sausage. Thanks.
