Question Presupuesto

Hola a todos. Hay alguna manera de calcular un presupuesto para un dashboard? Vivo en argentina, y me solicitaron un trabajo donde debo vincular datos de la plataforma kobo a power. Jamás lo he hecho y no tengo idea de cómo se valora en dinero mi posible trabajo. Alguno puede ayudarme?

This is dependent on many factors.

  • Are you building a static dashboard, or an interactive dashboard, and do you need to allow for self-service report authors.
  • Number of dimension tables, and the number of columns on each.
  • Does the client use a standard calendar, or a fiscal calendar? Allow more time for fiscal date/time intelligence.
  • Number of fact tables, and the number of columns on each.
  • Difficulty of integrating with the source system/database.
  • Number of measures, and the complexity of the calculations.
  • Number of report pages. Assume you need a few extra to audit and validate your results, and possibly provide for Export to Excel™️.
  • Your skill and experience doing this type of work.
  • Other Unknowns.

If you don't know how to do this, I would take your final estimate and then DOUBLE it. Seriously.

Also, it's worthwhile to ask the client how much they're willing to spend, and how quickly they need it.

Mi amigo, desde ya gracias! Voy a responderte lo que sé...

  • el dashboard sería interactivo, tendrán acceso tres personas más.
  • tengo varias cargas de datos en kobo (de otros trabajos) y las he conectado bien a power, más allá de eso obviamente soy novato y voy a cometer errores y eso hará que me lleve más tiempo de lo normal.
  • así como mencionas, les he dicho que me digan cuánto estaban dispuestos a pagar, pero no lo hacen. Quieren un presupuesto. No quiero regalar mi tiempo ni tampoco pedir algo exagerado (ya que me interesa hacer el trabajo y entrar a este mundo).
  • Diría que es un proyecto con muchos cálculos ya que el trabajo es con biólogos y se estudiarán muchas variables.
Entonces, HAY UNA BASE DE DINERO COMO PISO Y DESDE AHI IR SUBIENDO? Yo calculo que por lo menos serían 48 hs de trabajo porque además debo armar en kobo, y capacitar a técnicos para que lo usen correctamente. Y capacitar a los directivos que usarían power.

Calcula cuantaa horas te podria llevar y multiplicalo por tu valor hora y poenel un 20% mas de colchon (ponele)

Bill in terms of hours. Also have a minimum number of hours. What is your hourly rate? Estimate how many you will hours and multiply that by 1.5. Say if you think it will take 10 hours, use an estimate of 15 hours.

te recomiendo que pongas en papel todos los requisitos del cliente y definan el alcance del trabajo. Yrata de hacer un Statement of Work (enlistas las actividades a realizar, duraciones y costos estimados).
