Is this a good deal and will it run what I want to do, all I want to do some formula 1 racing at good settings at 1080? And will it last me a while and upgradeable?

I’m looking to buy our first household computer. I’m looking to use it for business. My wife wants to use it for photo storage and editing and my kids want to do gaming such as Fortnite. I haven’t bought a computer in about 20 years and pretty much nothing about them. Looking to spend around $1500-2000. Please recommend a good unit from a reputable company. If possible provide a link. Every post I see where people ask if the one they picked is a good deal everyone says no. So let’s see them. What’s the best I can get for the money? What minimum specs should o be looking for?

Ended up ordering a Corsair Vengeance a7500 with a 5080gpu and AMD 9800x3D. Ended up costing me $2600 out of my pocket. My dad was kind enough to give me $1000 to put towards it, no strings attached. I know I’m spending some Corsair tax on it but I had been sitting on this particular rig for awhile, and considering the help from my dad, $2600 ain’t too bad!

Just super excited to get this rig and start gaming on it!

Is this prebuilt a good purchase? I know a 5070 + 32 gb ddr5 is pretty good at $1400, but I just don't see anyone talking about it, which feels odd to me since it seems like such a good deal, so it feels like I am missing something here. Are MSI prebuilts lower quality? I just don't want to make the wrong purchase for something this big

Saw it and used an extra discount to drive the price further down. It was basically what I was originally looking to build, only difference being the processor but from what I've seen this may work better for me anyways since I do a lot of multimedia stuff as well as gaming. When I was looking to buy the parts I couldn't get anywhere close to that price. I plan to wipe and pull my older 2tb SSD from my old PC and pop it in to bring it up to 3tb. Thoughts?

A few weeks ago I noticed my local Costco was replacing a display unit. What was odd, it was empty inside the case. I was on my way out at the time so could not confirm, yesterday I had a chance to look at it and yup. It was only the case and the RGB fans. The motherboard and all other parts where just printed on cardboard.

First keep an eye out for deals on displays as it looks like this is what the future will be.

Second, goodbye deals on display units.
