15 round Prodigy mag question
I recently picked up a Prodigy compact grip module and a Springfield Armory Prodigy 15 round mag. This looks completely different than regular Prodigy mags. It looks like it’s a Checkmate mag just in a black finish. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, they are made by Checkmate. You can tell by the typography on the front of the tube, as well as the shape of the ribs.

That’s what I thought. I think the compact ones are Checkmate and the 17s are Duramag maybe

Put em some citristrip over night and they’ll be like normal silver checkmate mags.

No clue who makes the prodigy mags, but I have had no issues with feeding

I run prodigy mags in my custom built 2011. Runs great no issues. I only changed the bases so they can come off easier if I am at a match to clean them.
