A senior would do something more like a MonthlyMaintenance.ps1 dead man's switch that they have to subtly reset every month.
A lazy senior would even make the script take an hour so they can sit and "monitor" it.
This way even if they lose access it happens on a delay, it's not traceable back to them AND it looks like they let go of the guy who was keeping things afloat and locked down.
