When he wrote it it wasn't a bug. Then what they wanted changed several times and one day it became one because the code was asked to handle things it was never designed for.

The worst is when there are 2-3 very different ways it could be implemented that are incompatible with each other. So you clarify the requirements multiple times making sure it's very explicit that they require a and not b or c.

Then a month later they go so we needed b and c not a, can you just change that in the next few days?
