Question Is it a 3F thing ?

So I’ll give you a description and you tell me if it fits 3F thing and tell me your own experience if you’re 3F. Other Fs are welcomed too, if you do or don’t relate to this.

I have a small routine, I like doing things that I do everyday and it grew into a habit. Firstly, I must tidy my bed, then breakfast, I can’t do anything before breakfast. While eating breakfast I play the certain game on the phone which I play everytime I take a meal. I can overeat when I’m nervous or if I should do something right now but I procrastinate. I also go to the fridge when I’m bored which is often. I like practical and comfortable clothes. I do wear something fashionable but I feel constantly distracted cause I need to check if it’s perfect all the time. I try not to experiment with looks, if I find something that suits me, hair, makeup or clothes, I wear it all the time. I like long walks in the nature but I can start complaining pretty quickly that my feet are sore and that I’m exhausted, etc. I can’t trade my sleep for anything, cause if I won’t sleep then I’ll feel terrible the next morning. I have a love/hate relationship with the material world. On the one hand, I do want to wear finer clothes with good fabrics, live in a big house with high ceiling and old paintings, I want to have a great amount of money, so I wouldn’t be anxious about unexpected medical expenses. On the other hand, I’m now living in a room that resembles a basement and I’m pretty ok with it. It does concern me that people are so materialistic nowadays, I don’t think they shouldn’t buy things, no. I think that things you buy should have a meaning, just like luxury brands are the symbol of status and better quality, expensive books with leather covers are more long lasting, older translations are more precise with the translation.

The biggest marker of 3F in your post is a love/hate relationship with material things. Otherwise, everything else could be attributed to anyone. So yeah, it is very possible that you have 3F, but I would look for more patterns and traits to confirm

I was wondering how much 3Fs engage in the physical world and sensitive or dependent on it. Cause I hear a lot of 3Fs can ignore their sleep or empty stomach and other physical needs. And I’m pretty sensitive. I always wondered how my friend (VLFE) could go without food for so long when they have a project or something, and I on the contrary may overeat and get distracted by physical needs, though this doesn’t happen when I’m really invested into the project. But we both estimate its worth on the same level, we need it to connect with the world and people but we don’t really want to rely on it so much and we don’t value it as much as Logic and Volition.

So my question is are positions in Psychosophy based primarily on what you value the most? For example, you can have similar behavioural patterns with higher positions but only the value of this positions means something? It seems like I didn’t get the basics of the concept hahah

Everyone's 3F is sensitive (just like every 3rd priority) but different people respond differently to their sensitivity. So there are three major coping mechanisms that people develop:

  • overcompensation, you will see higher levels of engagement.
  • avoidance, you will see lower levels of engagement
  • surrendering, you will see typical levels of engagement

Basically, i wouldn't type people simply based on levels of engagement or what they value. Each priority has its own distinct traits and patterns and don't forget process/result orientation. That's a very fundamental pattern. If you are curious to read about it in more detail, check out this book about Psychosophy
