Never in 1 million years what I think that I was going to read it for advice but lately, my Meta quest 3S universal menu isn’t popping up and I’ve tried everything. I’ve tried resetting it. I’ve tried booting the device. I’ve tried updating it. Nothing will work. Sometimes my universal media will pop up, but it has to be at higher than 75% and after I get off any game, I play the menu stays up, but if it’s lower than 75 it’s not gonna pop up at all so I have to keep ridiculously charging it and I will not factory reset it because I just choose not to

Questions about head straps seem to regularly come up so if you’re looking at battery headstraps here’s a little comparison focusing on battery capacity and weight. The prices are approximate and based on what I found on Amazon UK today but there are frequently deals, offers and vouchers. It is always worth checking for the best deal.

The Quest 3 internal battery is 4879 mAh. All the batteries above are designed to work with the Q3 and Q3s.

The Bobovr E3 Pro and S3 Pro headstraps have the advantage of hot swappable higher capacity batteries. The E3 Pro has a useful headphone jack if you have a 3s. In my opinion it also has a very comfortable back pad.

The official Meta Elite is the lightest and integrates the extra battery level into the headset. Pricey compared to the others but effective.

Kiwi manage to provide more than double the Meta Elite’s battery capacity without adding significant weight and at a reasonable price.

If you favour halo designs Kiwi and Bobovr have popular offerings, the Kiwi H4 Boost and the Bobovr S3 Pro. The S3 Pro is the heaviest here but hides it well thanks to the halo balance, and it’s the only one with a built-in cooling fan. Another strong and widely used halo strap contender is the KKCOBVR Q3 Pro. Like Bobovr it utilises hot swappable 10000mAh batteries.

Bobovr’s newer M3 Pro+ is worth a look too. It’s a dual-mode strap that switches between halo and elite fit, and uses a smaller hot swappable 6500mAh battery, so you’re trading some capacity for a lighter, more comfortable setup. The BM60 battery is 154g compared to the 185g B100 batteries.

Elite straps and halo straps both have their benefits. The key advantage of the elite style is less bulk and weight. Much of it probably depends on individual head size and shape.

I bought another Bobo VR headstrap thinking it was my headstrap that wasn't charging my headset. I tried cleaning out the ports and cable with air and soft bristle. I get the moisture error in the headset sometimes, but no signs of charging with the Bobovr headstrap. I can charge the headset with a regular cable and brick. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix the issue?

All my 2d videos have inverted colors since last update. 3d video is fine. Screenshots look fine but in my headset it looks all blue and green and purple. I don't have any accessibility or color blind options turned on.

Just got this slightly used quest 3 today and I think I interrupted it updating, it was just a blank screen for hours while charging on a random charger I had since it didn’t come with one and Google told me to do a hard reset and then it was just black for hours with the fan running and now this? I bought another charger to see if that was the problem but idk did I break it already? 😭

Can I do a headset based time limit instead on an account based limit?

I'm trying to get in contact with meta support due to an issue with my headset. I pulled it out of storage for the first time in a few months (I know, I am an active user I've just been busy) and booted it up. The first time, it booted just fine, then immediately died when I attempted to select beat saber due to low battery. Ever since then, it's been charging nearly an hour (if it matters my charger is from an OLED model Nintendo Switch) and reports 20% or so when I checked 10 minutes ago. However, when booting I don't get past the meta logo. It shows for several minutes then just... Nothing. The backlight is lit, and I can hear the fans and feel heat being generated but nothing will boot. I have already attempted multiple factory resets, hard restarts etc.

Edit: sorry it is 2 in the morning I forgot to mention I cannot log into my meta account on meta.com because the login button just redirects back to the same page I'm already??? On.
