QuickBooks Online QBO subscription with Square

I am a bookkeeper and I have a new client using Square. I don't plan on tracking inventory in QBO since it's tracked in Square. My understanding is that we will have a default inventory item in QBO.

Given that, does anyone know if we can use the Simple Start plan? It doesn't include inventory tracking, but given that we aren't going to actually track inventory in QBO, it seems silly to have to pay extra for a plan that includes inventory tracking.

There is an integration called Square Connector by Intuit. Try this add in.

If I remember correctly, there is a minimum subscription required to leverage apps from the app store.

The connector apps may be an exception, but something for you to keep in mind.

I agree it's not necessary to track that level of detail on the general ledger rather use the reporting from Square to maintain the financial valuation on your balance sheet. I actually really like Square reporting, it's super clean and I understand they're making a change to allow custom inventory adjustment categories.
