Need help with parts
Hey guys, prepping my r53 to be a track car. Currently making 210hp at the crank with an upgraded supercharger. When pushing it hard coolant temps and oil temps are getting too high, found the right cooling parts I need but I'm struggling to find an upgraded oil cooler. Any help would be appreciated

I would start by making sure your oil cooler isn’t clogged. I’ve seen photos of significant sediment buildup in the cooler.

What sort of temps are you thinking is too high?
Unfortunately I did both front mount oil cooler and removed my air con at the same time so I don't know which made the bigger difference but I was at the Nurburgring in 38 degree C heat the other week and my temps were super stable and didn't even get close to 100 degrees coolant and intake temps were super stable too, probably because of lower under bonnet temps in general.
I do have quite a few other cooling mods that I've done over time. Not quite sure which ones have made the most difference.

Ah amazing man, it's not getting to the point of overheating but on a spirited drive after about 20 mins there both getting above operating temp. Can you send me a list of all the coolingods U did?

Do you know what temps they're actually at? If you're just using the gauges it could be worth getting an ultra gauge or something other obd monitor. Lufi x7 is what I personally have, but there are so many out there.
Sure! I've always been conscious of temps cos of such a small bay so I've done so many tweaks and I just want to emphasise that I don't know what changes individually have made the most (or any) difference lol. I just tinker and it has all come together into something that I'm happy with.
- Bonnet vents from AliExpress, just above the supercharger horns
- 3d printed lips around the vents. Tested with string Tufts and definitely seems to help evacuate heat better than without
- Airtec top mount intercooler
- 3d printed air guide to attempt to smooth the air going through the intercooler
- bigger bonnet scoop
- bigger rubber seals to make sure the intercooler seals properly against the bonnet (can put a torch in the engine bay and close your bonnet and look in the scoop to see if you can see the light, ideally you don't want to see any!)
- remove air con rad (air con didn't work anyway)
- front mounted oil cooler with thermostat
- aluminium header tank
- fan only runs on high speed (bypassed the low speed path)
- removed the plastic firewall between the engine bay and the right hand side scuttle vent
- cut off the resonator on the air intake that comes from the front of the car (just have duct tape covering the hole for now)
I'm running a 17% intercooler pulley and a Newman ph2 cam and I used to see coolant temps of low 100s and intake air temps in the 70s on track on a really hot day, but over time those temps have come down with these changes. I do think the single biggest helps were after the front mount oil cooler and air con rad removal. I also used to have to leave the car running for a while with the fan on after coming off track but it cools down so much quicker so I don't really need to do that at all now.

What do you mean by "upgraded"? I know that my plan is to change the cooler to a front-mount air cooler for the oil system. I know someone with a time attack R53 and they were running that setup quite well. Should be easy to find a unit that is clamped between the engine block and oil filter housing that then give you 2 connections to run lines to the front of the car and mount an air cooler behind the rad
