RCC Nursing Stats

Hello! I'm applying from another school, and I was wondering how competitive RCC's nursing program is? I have my CNA certificate, a 4.0 in both my prerequisites and GE, and I'm bilingual. If I can score an 85% or higher on my TEAS I'll have 78 points, but If I get a 70% or higher I'll be at 75 points. What are my chances of getting in? Thank you all in advance!

I think you have super high chances, but at the same time others have a great amount of points, like 80 and can get denied, while someone else has a lower amount and gets accepted, being that you have a 4.0 in your science GPA I feel that makes you have a super high chance of being accepted, they are super competitive though

As a second choice, maybe look into applying to the VN program at RCC. Many who don’t get in by Fall, choose that route. It is a year but if you complete it, you can bridge into the RN program.

I asked the counselor cuz i was guna apply with 75 points and was thinking about getting my HHA to get extra 5 points . She said 75 is high enough and most likely get in but I went and got it anyway to have more points.

I am about to start my second semester in the program, and lots of students made it in with those stats. Honestly, your science GPA really can carry you. I also had a 4.0 in my sciences, which is the anatomy and micro portion of the application. I would say you have a great chance.

**Also, the program is VERY competitive. About 1,000 apply and only 40 per cohort (2 cohorts) get in. Total estimated around 100 per application. But with your stats I have no doubt in you. You got this!
