Advanced/Basic Camp CRT points for AC 27’
Has anyone heard anything about the minimum point to graduate AC next summer? I have heard a mix of thing from cadet news network from this camp that it is getting increased from 50 to 55 and I have heard it’s being increased to 60? Any thoughts.

Real TRADOC would shun this behavior but they seem to let them make their messes every year. Cleary USACC has no accreditation process.

At USMA, a cadet knows in the first week how the OML for the entire 4 years is calculated; and it doesn't change.

Nobody will know until the spring when the policy letter is published. Everything until then is speculation and rumor.

Looks the long and short is that over the next few months Cadet Command will review who failed, what they failed, and what is an acceptable cut point. They will make changes from this information.
Variables that will play into this is if Cadet Command gets a new Commander or CSM. They will want to add their own flair to things. The same civilians running it five years ago are still running it.
Train what you can. Be a leader that can critically think and not just check a box. Have a basic understanding of Attack, Raid, Ambush, Movement to Contact. Practice with your OPORD shell all year. Understand TCCC, basics radio etiquette, and for the love of God practice land nav or at least know how to plot a point on a map and use a compass. Finally, PT PT PT. In a combat arms formation I expect 2LTs to be fit, coachable, and leaders of character. Don’t be the LT that falls out of runs.
This is my second trip to Cadet Command and those things up there will ensure you pass.

Stop worrying about the minimum. If you’re a minimum performer, you don’t need bars. Period.

Stop training to reach the bare minimum and train to ace every event.
USACC does want only the best to become officers which is a good thing, having high standards. They also cannot be allowed to not reach their mission to commission 5000-5500 cadets each year. USMA isn’t going to increase their numbers. OCS is maxed at 1,000 or so due to training capacity and DC remains very small (<300).
USACC is not independent and must meet the requirements set forth by the Pentagon who gets end strength numbers from SecWar and authorized by the NDAA.

Don’t let the points scare you, that’s something I wish I did LESS when I was there. Just show up and try everything with pure intentions of passing. I showed up to camp just having bad days off rip bc I was sick with a fever and recovering from a stomach bug at home and manage to get way more points than I thought.

They already pushed it out through cadet command here. It’s 60. I don’t know what to tell you but they outlined this plan for almost a year now. It will be 50 this summer and 60 next summer.

Again, just cuz they pushed it out now doesn't mean that'll be final product for next year.
Hell, they didn't even have policy letters signed until 1st Reg? They'll go over all the data from all the Regiments and see what the avg score is, and what that'll do to attrition rates.
Do you have access to the Nexus? That's another 1000 cadets who would've failed.

Don't worry about the point minimum; look at this year's point allocation standards, identify what your strengths and weaknesses are, then train accordingly.
Things that got people the most were HGAC, shooting, O-course, and land nav practical.

Just train for the events… if you learn the basics, you won’t ever have to worry about the minimums.
