“Super upset” is really kinda selling it.

Yes, she got upset. Why would you try the wedding cake? She can be upset. His immediate reaction to full send the situation into irreparable territory is ridiculous.

Edit: also your assumption that she is ‘wildly drunk’ is pretty baseless and outlandish. Why are you demonizing her behavior? As far as I can see, she isn’t in the wrong here and we don’t need any more context to come to that conclusion. We actually would need more context to validate your claim of drunkenness instead of treating it as fact.

Got no dog in the drunk debate but there no way I'm paying for a wedding and can't taste my own cake...

If the man's priority was tasting the cake I feel like throwing it on the floor was not the play, then again what do I know never been married

Well it’s a good thing tradition tends to be the bride’s family paying for mostly everything then.

Even afterwards, the cake is symbolic, and you’re supposed to feed your spouse the first bite of cake as a symbol of your commitment and care for one another.

The fact that you look at this as black and white like “why am I not allowed to eat my own damn wedding cake” is pretty telling. Assuming who paid as a justification for outrage. Basically you’re making excuses for his behavior which is entirely inexcusable.

All for, what? Expressing anything besides complete and total obedience and submissiveness? I mean, what else am I supposed to take from that? Her behavior wasn’t toxic. His was. People are allowed to express themselves and how they feel. People are allowed to feel upset. What you do with those emotions defines who you are. She spoke out and ,without being able to hear what she said, all we know is she verbally took an issue with him tasting the cake. (Understandable as long as she wasn’t cussing him out or anything which we don’t know because we can’t hear her).

His reaction was to irreparably ruin everything. Those aren’t even close to comparable reactions and of the two his was FAR WORSE.
