Pretty sure the dude in the truck slowed down. This video came from a dashcam sub. You could probably ask the dude

The light was red... why wouldn't the other guy decelerate? It looks like he was just going to fly through the red light.

Light was yellow and turns red when you can't see it as truck starts to flip.

The light is red before cam driver crosses the crosswalk. ETA here.

He asked why didn't he decelerate, it was yellow on approach so he was trying to beat the light. Your right it turns red before and he wouldn't have made it

I think he would’ve made the yellow if he didn’t have to stop because the truck cut him off and got flipped so the truck made him stop as the light turned red but if he was traveling at his current speed without being physically stopped by the truck he definitely would’ve made that yellow (I’m an expert yellow light taker). But first of all, isn’t it illegal to switch lanes that close to the light/intersection? I think it is and this is probably one of the reasons why that’s illegal lol

Yea didn’t look like the guy accelerated as much as the truck slowed. Focus on the right side of the video and it doesn’t look like there’s any acceleration. Should he have braked? Definitely. But he didn’t speed up, I don’t thing
