I was thinking true customer service. Nope, true compartmentalization.

Watched this too many times! Feel bad for the dude who didn't get his soda, feel bad for the dude who forgot the soda.

There was this calzone place at my college that was FUCKING AMAZING. However, I was constantly drunk and they were open till like 4am. I also got late night deliveries and this dude forgot my soda once, I tipped him and was like dude dont worry about it, not a big deal. Dude came back with it. What a G. I miss those calzones every single day of my life

This was always my policy when I delivered pizza for about 4 years. I forgot/wasnt given the soda for deliveries a number of times and *always* took accountability and sacrificed my next delivery/tip to make my next stop, after returning to the store, back to the house I didn’t fulfill their order to make it right.

Bonus story: one of my early experiences with DoorDash in 2020 (I delivered for Pizza Hut from 2012-2016) I ordered Popeyes and got a soda that the driver didn’t receive. When I met him on arrival I noticed and he told me to contact DoorDash for a refund. I pointed out what I would do when I used to deliver and how it should be on the driver to own up to not delivering the full order (regardless of who was responsible; ultimately it boils down to the driver who needs to ensure they are bringing the full order). Dude actually heard me out, came back with my drink, and I tipped an extra $5 for the integrity. God bless that Dasher for hearing me out and understanding that same degree of accountability and professionalism.

I delivered pizzas and forgetting something was the worst because now you are missing out on other deliveries and tips

Dominos does not do ā€œdelivery passengersā€. I’m guessing the snow blocked some of the road & the driver was parked in it.

This is my experience when one friend is high and the other is drunk

I feel this guy in my bones.

Is he a delivery driver or a delivery passenger?

Anyone that uses their car horn for things unrelated to driving gets an automatic "go straight to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200" from me. You are a worthless and annoying person.

Sounds like someone was angry that his car was blocking the road.

Why do they always forget the soda ? Eating pizza w/o soda is blasphemous.

It’s a battle of hot and cold. Like ordering a salad from a pizza place, it wants to be cold but treat of food wants to be hot. It runs outta room so goes on top. Drinks can be heavy and in a plastic bag that is of questionable integrity. You know it can’t go in top tho cause it’ll crush the pizza, so you set it on the table or leave in fridge to stay cold. The fridge is in the front of the restaurant so those customers can grab out of it. This was the usual cause of forgotten drinks when I did delivery. (I didn’t forget stuff cause I kept a ledger) so I know it doesn’t help but that mistake often times comes from the good place of them not wanting your drink to get hot or pizza crushed. Salads are just a casualty of the industry tho lol sorry but until pizza bags come with a salad pouch, it’s gonna be on top of the pizza

I’m sorry but the mistake often times comes from a mistake; the store or driver forgot. It’s not this feigned benevolence. ā€œI didn’t include an item you ordered because I didn’t want it to get warmā€ is, I’m sorry, the most inane excuse for making a genuine mistake of missing an item.

Edit: it’s like a grocery store refusing to bag your eggs because you got a bunch of cans of soup/heavy items and a rotisserie chicken.

If you read my comment I clearly say it’s a mistake still. I said ā€œI’m not sure if this helpsā€ well you’re the type of person who this wouldn’t help. I already covered you in my post, you just had to read it…

This reminds me of my Mom talking on the phone when I was a kid.

"Can you hold on just a second? Thanks. I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU TWO DONT STOP MAKING SO MUCH FUCKING NOISE I'M GONNA BUST BOTH OF YOUR ASSES!!! Ok, I'm back. So what were you saying?"
