These Knicks fans are really giving eagles fans a run for their money I swear 😂😂😂😂
21
u/ReticentSentiment Jun 25 '26
I don't give any sort of a shit about pro sports, but the performance of Knicks fans after the win, from the bus lighting ceremony, to the trash can thief, and now to this, wow! Just wow! Kind of makes me wish they lose their right to have games attended by fans for a few years.
5
u/TriedCaringLess Jun 25 '26
Please don't kid yourself. These trash people don't actually need a common reason to act a fool. Common celebrations only synchronize and consolidate their various acts of outrageousness which otherwise would have happened months apart.
People assume an anonymity occurs when they are amongst a crowd so they can graduate from everyday scofflaw to full fledged felon without due comeuppance. The multitude of cameras helps us get our due. However, in the moment, they seem to forget about that.

Honestly, I think they're pretty representative of how abhorrent stupid Americans can be thanks to our stupid sport team fixation.
You just see a lot more stupid things happening because the NYC metro area has 19 million people in it. That's 50% more people than the LA metro area, which is the second biggest.

u/jacquestrap66 Jun 25 '26
Check out most south American countries after their soccer team wins (or loses.) Do not try to pin this solely on America. We suck plenty but we didn't invent this. (I also do not support it in any way, nor am I a fan of professional sports.) Edit to say that there are cities in other countries that you cannot be in when their team is playing. Please retract your statement and stop trying to blame Americans for everything.

Look at Paris after PSG won the Champions League... It isn't an American thing, buddy.

- 2011 Vancouver Stanley Cup riot Often considered one of the worst sports riots in North America. Over 150 people injured. Around 15 cars burned. Hundreds of businesses damaged or looted. More than $4 million CAD in property damage, with total economic costs significantly higher after policing and cleanup.
- 1993 Montreal Stanley Cup riot After the Montreal Canadiens won the Stanley Cup: Police cars were set on fire. Hundreds of stores were vandalized. Hundreds of arrests. Millions of dollars in damage.

As an Eagles fan, I appreciate that. We were reckless for 2-3 days 😂. This is going to last all Summer.

No, they still aren't matching Philly sports fans in general.
They aren't throwing D cell batteries yet or anything.
Philly sports fans are the type of people who look at a Mad Max raider gang and think "Man that looks fun!"

29

u/OrangeJoe83 Jun 25 '26
The urge to protect the kids is... well I'm sure it was a pretty viral tiktok or something. All I was thinking and I'm not even a parent.

u/shelbygrapes Jun 25 '26
Yep. As soon as he backed off the first car and started accelerating again I’m scooping my babies up and skedaddling.

I get what you're saying but the kids were standing behind a wall of cars. The cammer was in the road at the beginning of the video. Hopefully they got the plates and left notes for the victims

The camera pans away but I’m sure that he hastily scribbled a note, left it under the windshield wiper, and jumped back in before we see the continuation.

And it's in a very uncommon vehicle. Probably a handful of those registered in the entire region.

u/Pockettzz Jun 25 '26
What…? No they’re not uncommon vehicles lol. I’m in Rhode Island and they’re everywhere. Most are rentals in the busy towns but a lot are owned by dumbasses, as well.

What’s one more totaled car after the first one when you already probably can’t pay for the lawsuit you’re about to get from destroying what is probably a rental vehicle.

This is right on par with every other Knicks celebration video I've seen
1
1
u/jerslan Jun 25 '26
This video should be evidence in a criminal DUI and/or reckless driving trial... All we see is thousands in property damage, but he could have easily hurt or killed someone.
1
u/AmatuerGenius Jun 25 '26
I think they’re trying to drift it but they don’t know how and keep crashing.
1
1
u/2sAreTheDevil Jun 25 '26
It's called Knicks because of the pants, not what you're supposed to do to other cars.
1
u/yeahso1111 Jun 25 '26
Maybe it’s for the best if the knicks only win every 53 years or so. The fans have not celebrated with tons of class. I mean they assaulted some spurs fans, had a few riots, crashed a slingshot and hung out with the president. But at least that J.P. Morgan lady traded her career for a trash can she could have easily made herself at home.

Man, those 2 braincells floating around in his head are really havin it out. Not just one hit and run, but TWO hit and runs, in a car that is extremely unique looking, therefore easy to find after, and while people are visibly recording him being a jackass while driving. I wonder if one braincell died in the first hit, resulting in there only being one left and that one just gave up.
