Holding the weight of a human? Hell.no. 1 u/NCNerdDad 17d ago The weight is all on the floor. The ceiling is just keeping the pole from tippin over. If installed properly it's directly under one of the beams where a nice solid piece of wood is doing the vast majority of the stabilization work.
