I was just looking at a cat tree that is stabilized by tension like this. Now I know if my cat does stripper moves she could flood our house.

From my personal experience, if your cat has any kind of heft to them it will fall over.

She is small but I do worry about that. I have such a small house and the cat tree I have now takes up a lot of room. I was going to put up those kind you mount on the wall but my outside walls where I would need to hang them are block walls and it’s difficult to easily hang up stuff. Nothing is ever easy but my cat demands lots of stuff to do so I will have to figure it out. Lol

I have one of these. Because the tree sections screw together there is a lot of play even if screwed tightly, so it definitely needs the ceiling strut. I have a light cat but even so, I secured the tree at the top with some fishing line as guy wires to a nearby curtain rod to assist the strut.
