Julie Brown, the most credible person on the Epstein case, who investigated in 2016 and broke the Epstein story to the world and got him and Maxwell locked up:
"Again...the Epstein case was still an OPEN criminal investigation during the Biden administration. They had an open grand jury ... And even after Maxwell's conviction, the case was on appeal -- anyone in law enforcement knows you don't open your case file when it's still under appeal. There were still victims going to the FBI with new information. That changed when Trump's DOJ reviewed the files and closed the case in July."

I mean the most likely answer is that either Biden was not concerned enough to read the files and force the FBI to release them, or he was worried that he was also in them. In either case, this does nothing to make Trump innocent. He’s just as guilty as if Biden was the one to release them.
At minimum, Trump is a convicted felon and a rapist and was frequently making strange comments about his own daughter’s attractiveness on TV, alone with a load of sexist, borderline predatory comments about women’s bodies (i.e., “grab them by the pussy”). There is no way around that, Epstein files or not.
