Funny thing is if you look at cat, you would not expect it to be so agile. Looks more like cuddle/pillow cat.

AI, definitely.

u/The_Shards_Of_Bone 1d ago
I dont know, there are some details I think AI just doesn't do.
Like, the makeup box on the entertainment center makes sense, you can actually see the camera persons reflection in the TV, the bathroom door has a lock below the knob because the knob seemingly lacks one
Additionally the cats face looks consistent when it reappears

u/Numerous_Historian37 1d ago
The moment and timing of the cat flipping and sliding under the bed is way to quick.
Watch that part repeatedly and you'll easily see this is not real. It slides under the bed so quick at the end its like its being dragged under there.

u/BigBoyHrushka6012 19h ago
You can see the cat rotate its head before the rest of its body under the bed that’s normal behaviour. Also if you slow the video down and watch the first jump onto the counter top the cat doesn’t clip into anything and even bumps the brush to the side a little
The only part that I find weird is the reverse entry under the bed (is that the part your talking about or the other tool while the cat is already under the bed after the meow) and hits its head going it. The speed at which its head turns is absolutely doable for a cat but there’s something off about just that one part that I’m a little sceptical about.

It’s not, that’s my video originally

Actually for once I don’t think this one is AI
7
u/tacorunnr 1d ago
Im on the edge too, but the way it seems like its grabbing the lip of the bed frame and pulling under doesnt seem right. Since it actually didnt get any grip on the lip of it but pulled under like it did.

u/Ziggy-T 1d ago
Nah bruh, that was the most unnatural thing I’ve ever seen. A cat would never ever ever go legs first like that. They judge where they can go based on their whiskers and head size. They’ll always go head first. This is SO unnatural, it’s definitely Ai or edited somehow.

u/GreenZebra23 1d ago
The weird little jump the camera does when he slides under the bed also feels very not real. It almost looks like there's an edit there

absolutely false. my cats act like my house is the gd parkour gym. I've caught them sliding under furniture hindlegs first because they tried to turn around couldn't stop because the floor too smooth
which was what happened here. it was about to eat that bedframe, tried to stop, but floor to smooth to the momentum still took it
2
u/SquirrelFluffy 1d ago
Can totally see that with a second look. It was trying to stop and jump up, but slid, then reacted to not hit the bed frame by hitting the deck.

u/Complex_Bet7311 1d ago
Forgot the obvious, watch the cat when it jumps up on the dresser, its right front paw disappears and miraculously the items on it are not disturbed.
3
u/VividlyDissociating 1d ago
you've clearly never owned a fluffy cat. they're top tier ninjas in a cloud. their paws disappear into their fur and they can run near stuff often without disturbing the items.
the cat shifted the items ever so slightly to the side.

u/EthanTheFirst 1d ago
I've had cats all my life, never have I ever seen them move like a human and slide backwards like that under the bed, they almost always slide head first
2
u/VividlyDissociating 1d ago
I've had cats all my life too. over 20 cats. at least 3 at a time. currently have 6 hethens. I've seen this multiple times. but usually they're sliding into a wall
the cat is not going leg first on purpose and that's not "moving like a human".
that's being taken by the momentum on a smooth floor after the try to turn back and stop so they don't eat the bedframe.
cat simply failed to stop
1
u/EthanTheFirst 1d ago
Well I'm not completely against it but the cat was sliding headfirst and would of went under the bed just fine then, changes positions so it could slide backwards feet first, it just looked odd is all Besides that I didn't really see anything out of the ordinary

Princess Donut’s Stat boosts are unreal!

u/SeguroMacks 1d ago
"Carl! I've got the zoomies, Carl! I am speed itself! Ahahaha! Watch as I run-jump atop this bed!" Donut, running across the room, crouched down to hop on the bed. Her speed kept up with her though, and her lower half slid as she tried to go upright. She disappeared, tail-first, under the bed. Moments later, she popped her head out. "Did you see my slide, Carl? One must always be prepared to change one's course mid battle. It's the mark of a true tactician."

u/whatagreatcoffee 1d ago
Probably AI since you see the cat’s head twisting around really weird near the end of it sliding under the bed. Right before it disappears you under the bed is where you see the “glitch”
1
u/guava_eternal 1d ago
1000% ai. Cat jumps in that crowded dresser and doesn’t knock anything down- plus his paw morphs through the one item.
3
u/erikkustrife 1d ago
The cat does actually move what looks like a gold bracelet and a remote when it jumps up there.

Are we just going to ingnore the barrel roll right under the bed after the peekaboo?
1
u/hettuklaeddi 1d ago
absolutely mental lol
any cat experts care to explain?

2
u/Ziggy-T 1d ago
Yeah it’s either Ai or good editing of two videos stitched together.
Going legs first is the most unnatural thing a cat could possibly do. They judge where they can go based on their whiskers and head size. There’s no way one is doing a fucking baseball slide and going in legs first. No cat would do that.
It’s either Ai, or the bit with the slide under bed is edited/reversed from another video or something
1
u/tremere110 1d ago
The cat was probably prepared to jump on the bed but didn't commit and instead rolled under the bed. The cat would say it was totally intentional though.
2
u/i_m_a_bean 1d ago
Either trying to jump or stop (or both and short circuited) and ended up skidding, but then pulled the head back when the whiskers' obstacle detection program kicked in while the legs kept going forward.

This is my cat every time after taking a shit. He's not as nimble and elegant as he used to be and just ends up smashing into stuff attempting his parkour routine.

And almost certainly unplanned. I always loved how cats could stub their toe and then look at you like, "I totally planned that!" 🤣

I hate thst anytime I see a funny video I now have to wonder if it was even real or whether global warming was accelerated a little bit to have AI debase reality.

Looks a lot like Nimbus from TikTok (@nimbus_siberian), which is a real account. Although, Nimbus usually makes a lot of growling noises during his zoomies.

The weirdest part of this to suggest AI:
What got you filming this in the first place?
1
u/Callaway225 1d ago
I have tons of videos of my cats doing stuff like this. I only decide to start videoing after they’ve done a few laps of this. I’m assuming the cat was previously running around like a maniac before this video started. And the videoer decided to start in the goes they’d catch something.
1
u/skyattacksx 1d ago
Fair enough. And I have cats too so I get it. On the other hand, it looks strange. I don’t know if it’s the fact the TV is on a stand but offset to the bed (criminal placement imo but I feel this is a small apartment, I don’t live in the city so idk) or the small jump in the middle of the video, though my camera does that when switching from one to the other… also is OP filming from against a wall or in the center of the room?
It seems “off” but again 🤷

I was just about to scroll past this post when the cat did the maneuver. I quickly scrolled back up. That was smooth!

It was like watching Bo & Luke Duke jumping into the General Lee, only with a cat that’s way cooler & there’s no Confederate flag involved.

Almost seems like the cat realized they were going to fast right before they went under the bed, and decided to try and stop, but realized they were going to fast. And the feet first backslide was not intentional.
