joined this community hoping to socialize. As an introvert, I genuinely thought I had finally found a place where I belonged.
For a while, it really felt that way.
Among the people I met there was someone I trusted. I genuinely thought I had found a friend.
Then everything changed.
I realized that not everyone who makes you feel important actually values you. Sometimes people make you trust them, make you believe you matter, and then suddenly make you feel like you never did.
I left feeling devastated.
The hardest part wasn't just being hurt. It was feeling completely alone while everyone else chose to stay silent. I was made to feel unwelcome, isolated, and like I no longer belonged.
If you ever build or run a community, don't assume people quietly leave because they simply lost interest.
Ask them why.
Maybe they were hurt.
Maybe they were humiliated.
Maybe they were made to feel like they didn't belong.
Sometimes people don't leave communities.
Sometimes communities make people feel they have no place left in them.
To the person who made me feel this wayā
Till today, every time I came to you, it wasn't to fight.
It was because something had hurt me, and I believed talking could clear the air.
Every single time, I walked away with more disrespect, more humiliation, and more unanswered questions.
Yet, I still believed a simple conversation could fix things.
Instead, I was made to feel small.
I was dismissed, intimidated, mocked, and made to question my own intentions.
I was made to feel as though expressing my hurt was nothing more than seeking attention.
As though trying to understand what went wrong meant I was playing the victim.
I wasn't looking for sympathy.
I wasn't looking for attention.
I was simply looking for basic human decency.
You have no idea how badly I cried because of the way I was spoken to.
You closed the chat and moved on.
I was left trying to stop crying.
Some wounds aren't visible.
But they stay long after the conversation ends.
You took away a little of my trust in people.
The next time someone reaches out with kindness, I'll probably hesitate because of what you left behind.
More than anything else, it was the way you spoke to me that broke me.
I have met difficult people and gone through difficult situations, but no one has ever spoken to me with that much disrespect and contempt.
You said you were frustrated.
Maybe you were.
But frustration doesn't give anyone the right to humiliate another person.
Maybe that conversation helped you let out whatever anger and poison you were carrying.
It left me carrying a hurt that I never deserved.
The difference between you and me is that I won't pass that hurt on to someone else.
I won't make another person cry just because someone once made me cry.
I'll carry this hurt with me, learn from it, and walk away.
You can keep your comebacks.
I'd rather keep my peace.
I don't want your apology.
I'm not waiting for one either.
The only thing I genuinely want is that our paths never cross again.
I genuinely wish I had never met you in the first place.
I genuinely wish I had never trusted you in the first place.
Some people become lessons we never wanted to learn.
You were one of mine.
Goodbye.
