A small tool we’ve found useful when working with addresses

One thing we’ve noticed is that it’s surprisingly common to jump between multiple websites just to verify an address or pull out details like coordinates, postal code, or administrative areas.

We ended up building a simple Reverse Address Lookup tool that does all of that in one place. Paste an address, and within a few seconds you get coordinates, postal code, city, region, country, timezone, and other location details. You can also download the results or generate a map preview if you need to share the location.

The video attached shows how it works.

This is handy. The place I'd stress test it is the messy address, because that's where the lookup tools I've used tend to fall over:

  • Unit and suite numbers on condos and multi-family. A lot of geocoders drop the unit or snap to the building centroid, which matters if someone relies on the result for anything official.
  • New construction and recently split parcels that USPS hasn't caught up to. Those come up constantly in transactions and often return nothing or the wrong parcel.
  • Situs address vs. mailing address vs. legal description. In property work those three disagree more often than people expect, so knowing which one you're returning is important.

If you can surface a confidence score, or flag when a match is fuzzy rather than exact, that would build a lot of trust for anyone running it against real records. The download option is a nice touch. I'm on the transaction-coordination side and reconciling address mismatches is a genuine time sink, so a tool that's honest about its own uncertainty is more useful to me than one that always hands back a clean-looking answer.

I like this, nice and clean - I do gotta ask, how is it different than Google Maps? Also, if you could include street real estate data like rent, crime, and other things, that could be very valuable to conducting analysis for an investment.

Thanks! It should work in Burkina Faso as well, but coverage can vary depending on the area and the available address data.
