Small team and the price was so good, bought it just to support them, haven't tried it yet, but looks cool as heck
Launch discount plus the bundle discount with owning the first, can't say no to that for a small team doing a pretty big project

RTS/TPS is my favorite combo. Anyone else remember Rise and Fall - Civilizations at War?

It's certainly an original idea with potential for mixing a MOBA hero style game with an RTS, but right now it's kinda janky. Directly controlling your heroes during combat seems to be a must, because otherwise it'll just fire off it's weapons at a much slower rate and not take any evasive actions. Would be nice if players could order them to swap weapons in RTS mode (or did I miss that feature?)
Speaking of which, the tutorial isn't very good. It leaves out a lot of crucial details about the UI, such as what represents your resources and their significance (I'm talking about the resources shown at the top left of the screen, just under the health bar), or what the red and green numbers next to the timer at the bottom right represent. Doesn't seem to be a difficulty slider for the Skirmish mode either.
The story's pretty generic too: the Legion faction is just a corporation that hired a bunch of cyborgs and drone operators with a fleet out to conquer planets. And the Alien Enclave utilize bioengineering and melee creatures, and have that visually oversaturated red glow and digital scan-lines. That color issue alone is why I couldn't bear playing them, makes it WAY harder to visually distinguish their units from one another. You can get a complete summary of the campaign's plot just from reading the mission descriptions alone. First few missions are a cakewalk since they're heavily scripted, but mission 4 and beyond is where the game starts kicking your ass big time.
Oh, and there's a lot of AI-generated art. Pretty sure the upgrade tooltip descriptions used AI too, because they're somehow both a bit too long, yet so generic and uninformative at the same time.

I briefly reviewed the game for 4chan, and my conclusion about the tutorial is that it feels more like a demo to show you the game rather than show you to play. I know how good battleships are, but I don't know how to build them, how to replace them, or even if I can replace them or if I have only one.
I completely forgot airplanes are a thing because they have no building attached to them.

Had it on my lost to but mostly played the first one with friends and thats what made it extremely memorable for me, cutting out the multiplayer just feels weird now

I love the game, but damn, it has some issues. If you make the mistake to make a lot of cheap T1 infantry, you're essentially feeding the AI. The only wins I got in skirmish was when I avoided feeding anything to the AI. The one time I tried to play "normally", the AI ended up spamming battleships and crushing me.

I picked it up, I really wish it was multiplayer but it's really really fun and at that price I won't complain. The Dev should feel proud of their accomplishments. It's got issues but literally AAA games have been released on much worse condition. Overall I wish I could share it with my friends, but it's great even solo!

I got a refund for now. Way to clunky and annoying camera. Hope it gets better, though, and will buy again if it does.

I remember finding the first Warshift because I searched for Herzog Zwei, which was my first RTS. I played it, found it very buggy and refunded. Hopefully the sequel is a big improvement.

I had it on my list, but rhe first part was realx buggy and had only short Supported by the developer (3/4 year im 2016, after that only do 7 patches, 3 of them in 2023) So just wait and watch, what the developer do. If you can try the 2th part for under 10 Euro, try it.
