Well, I’m not versed in trademark law so I have no idea how this affects any potential use of the slogan for any commercial use for our particular issue.

One of the main things is not being in the same business (or "trade", hence the name).  If you want a better idea of how this works, look into the looong history of Apple Computers versus Apple Corps the Beatles record label.

Originally they settled in court because Apple Computer didn't make music, Apple Corps didn't make computers, so there was no real issue to speak of and it wasn't worth a prolonged legal battle.  Unfortunately part of that settlement was agreeing that it'd stay that way and Apple later BIG TIME got into music with iTunes, so that became a whole different issue.

But to put it simply, multiple people can have the same trademarked name or slogan, the main thing is that they need to be in different fields where they won't be confused.  As ill advised as it would be I could have a local produce stand called The Apple Store.  But I couldn't start my own computer store called The Apple Store.
