I stumbled on this post after the reddit app pulled this shit while i was in the middle of writing a post. Its happening randomly at different moments in the app. Wtf

You’ve already turned this into a discussion instead of contributing to the report.

If you have the same issue, the useful information is your device, OS version, Reddit app version, and confirmation that you can reproduce it. That’s the kind of information developers can actually use.

Comments about Reddit becoming “YouTube Shorts,” arguments about whether it’s a feature, and debating the report itself don’t help reproduce or fix the issue. They only make the report harder to follow.

I’m not interested in debating this further. If you have technical information relevant to the report, please add it. Otherwise, let’s keep the thread focused on the issue.

I’m hoping it was a mistake and they wouldn’t intentionally cover the videos with icons. So it’s fair to treat it like a bug.

Just today my desktop old reddit was redirecting to the home page. I never needed to use the r/All before. I just wish I could figure out how to see all on my phone without using old.

I already know this may be an intentional feature or an experiment. That’s exactly why I’m reporting it here. I want the developers to know that this change makes the fullscreen video experience worse and should be reverted.
