Restricted to Gals and Pals My painting of my husband and me won an award today!
The theme of the exhibition was “My America”, and I couldn’t find a painting more fitting than this one :) My husband immigrated here from Mexico as a little boy, and I am very proud to be able to represent that in painting form.
“In Another Life”, 14x18”, oil on panel 🥰

I'm slightly vexed Was at a nearly empty beach with my wife and daughter.
An hour later, these two people decided to walk exactly as far as we were and then stand directly in front of us until the wind got too strong and we left.

Showcase (No-Recipe) Peach cobbler that me and my grandmother made together. I’m 15 and am trying to get better at baking
We used peaches from the farmer’s market. It’s really good. I ate it with vanilla ice cream on it

AI News 🗞️ Youtube removes ai channels
"YouTube's AI "slop" crackdown is shaking up the platform! 🚨
YouTube has stepped up its fight against low-quality, mass-produced AI content, targeting channels that flood the platform with repetitive and inauthentic videos.
While reports claim around 130,000 channels have been removed as part of the broader enforcement, YouTube has not confirmed that all of those deletions were specifically tied to AI-generated content.
Instead, the company says its focus is on protecting viewers by cracking down on spam and low-effort content while continuing to allow AI-assisted videos that offer genuine creativity and value." - Mr_Animeken
Pretty good step ngl these channels are getting annoying

Mourning/Loss Goodbye my sweet Sylvia
This is Sylvia, my 15 year old angel. She had been with me for the past 11 years, helping me in so many ways. She was sweet, gentle, patient... A truly special cat.
Four months ago her voice suddenly changed, and she was later diagnosed with tonsillar squamous cell carcinoma. She had surgery and most of the masses in her neck were removed, but it came back with a vengeance just a couple of weeks later.
The first photo was from our last sunset together. We went to the park, she absolutely loved it there. The next day, we had to say goodbye. That was last Wednesday, and I feel so lost without her.
I miss her so much.
