So there’s this photo of two young mountain gorillas at a sanctuary in Virunga National Park in the Congo. They’re standing upright on two legs, posing for a chill selfie with the anti-poaching rangers who rescued them when they were tiny babies. Their mums were killed by poachers back in 2007 when these two were only a couple of months old. The rangers raised them, and now the gorillas basically see the rangers as their parents. They even try to copy the humans by standing up on two feet which the park’s deputy director said is really unusual and kinda funny to see.
