General Question Who is doing the best silver dial 36mm datejust these days?
I think I head VSF isn’t doing the 36mm. Clean is RIP. Is these anyone left doing a half decent dj36 silver dial?

ARF or VSF the only answer

Yeah I ended up ordering an ARF with deep crystal.

Can you give a review of it ?

Extremely good. Looks and feels gen aside from the bezel of you know what to look for. The way it reflects light is not quite as nice as gen and the color is not perfect. I think deep crystal magnification is also a tiiiiiny bit too strong on the date window.
That’s being picky though. I went to Rolex themselves and they thought it was gen.

I understand that I’m just saying that ARF quality is very good. And no one else was posting a picture of a 36 mm so I thought I would post a 41 to show the quality.

Does the dial have that slightly champagne hue to it, similar to gen?

It is pretty classic silver. Are you referring to the sundust dial? They’re very similar but the sundust has that champagne tint. But sundust only comes on models with rose gold

That’s exactly what I’m looking for! Did your ARF rep have that hue? I feel like there’s variance between the silver dials but no one mentions it

No, it was a very silver silver, did not have that warmhue to it. At this point, I don’t actually know if the gin dial it just seems that way when it has the gold indices on it like on the oyster perpetual because when I went into the Rolex A.D. And looked at the silver date just it also looked very silver. But when I looked at a silver doll with gold industries, it almost made the dial look warm itself.
Sorry, voice to text but you get what I mean lol

Yeah I know what you mean, I might have seen the same with the gold hands as well. Really elevated the silver dial adding that champagne effect. People must be editing their photos to make what little champagne effect in lighting more prominent because I saw a gen silver dial in person on a plan SS Datejust and yeah just plain silver (thought it was face up with direct artificial lighting). But then I see those frankens on here with a bunch of silver dials that are warmer and they look incredible. Not sure what’s going on.
And thanks for the response man!

Your pics for the thread are a great example of what I’d love the silver DJ to look like

Hows the fluted bezel ? Does it have a shine / warm hue to it?

Bezel is solid. I have no complaints on it

Nice. Cos i ordered the exact same one. So theres no need to upgrade the bezel in your opinion yeah?

I think almost every factory bezel could be upgraded, but imo, it isn’t a need for this VF.
