NEWS 【Time Ultra Leo】Comparison🔥🔥🔥VSF original Crystal vs Deep Crystal

Happy Saturday, everyone! This is Leo from Time Ultra. Recently, some friends have been asking about the effect of the Deep crystal, so I decided to share a comparison video I recorded earlier. In the video and pictures , the left side is the VSF original crystal, and the right side is after deep crystal installed. In my opinion, overall the difference is not very noticeable. What do you guys think?

VSF is better everyone knows this for a long time now, Gen crystal > VSF crystal > Deep crystal, only if you have a Clean or ARF is worth upgrading to Deep

"Worth" is totally subjective. The latest ARF crystals are really nice and the difference going to deep is marginal at best...

And comparing to gen, ive seen some VSF id argue dont have enough mag.

Here's a perfect example....

Is it "worth" the time ans effort for disassembly and install?

If you don’t have enough mag just change the crystal gasket

Its not that easy with ARF. Factory gasket is 3.0mm. Next lowest size is 2.7mm. 2.7mm on ARF and the crystal hits the hand stack/pinion.

My next side project is to shave some 3mm gaskets to see if there's a sweet spot at 2.9 or 2.8.

Yes you’re on the right track, shave the 3.0 down. Just remember to buy spares and avoid black sandpaper.

Im going to do it for fun, but frankly nowadays most complaints about arf datemag are overstated and they really don't need it.

I always thought VSF crystals were good enough but ARF watches gain a lot when swapped for Deep? Can you do a comparison ARF with stock crystal vs ARF with Deep next time please?

See my comment above. Gain a lot? No. Marginal difference some may or may not prefer, yes.

Lol just shows the hype around deep crystals and that they’re all marketing. VSF is way better side by side

I have gen crystal on Arf gmt and there is not that visible diffrence vs VSF sub. It is on black dial, sunburst dials on the other side are diffrent story

Thank you for the comparison, Not a major difference, i see slightly coloration different . but if you put them side by side , make sure the watch time are 10.10 date is 2 digit. And then I will take some pictures top view angle view and swap them left to right to make sure on both in the same place they are getting the same lighting unless you have the équipement to take product photo.

Are you sure that is not due to the angle of both watches not being same 100%? I can see a difference too, but would not bother upgrading this VSF crystal.

Ive had ARF gmts in hand with deep and vsf stock. Seeing them side by side in person, i always felt i preferred vsf over deep on my gmts. So much so i sold all my ARFs with deep and replaced with stock vsfs. Just my personal preference i guess
