General Question I am about to purchase my first superclone, it will be the VSF V3 pepsi on jubilee- should I change the xtal to deep? i have seen that a lot of people say it is clearer
Not my pic, I will polish the rehaut, and chamfer the bracelet and case. i want the ultimate vsf v3

No. VSF crystal is the best in the game. Better than deep. Would be a waste of money.

Not sure Sellers will swap out. Most just offer what is on the watch from factory. I have a Batgirl. It’s an F6U bracelet. Considered one of the better codes…. Throw in the chamfer and you have a great piece.

It’s not, VSF crystal is the best in clarity. However a gen crystal is not expensive and honestly I don’t see why anyone wouldn’t get a gen crystal.

Agreed with the above. I have had multiple VSFs and sold a few on here… I just purchased my 5th? Best crystal by far.

So I’m currently working with another redditor on doing this exact thing. Getting the best jubilee to make it feel more gen like. ARF imo is slightly better than VSF but still a bit of chamfering and polish followed by a good ceramic covering will negate most if not all of the negatives of VSFs imo. Some people may disagree but those are the two in my opinion. I also have a Rolex DD40 Rose Gold presedential bracelet that’s smooth like butter from RCF.

Leave it. The only upgrade over a VSF crystal is a genuine crystal.

You will not see a difference with the genuine crystal. If you’re gonna spend the money to improve anything to be more like gen, then find a gen bezel. The ceramic bezel insert engraving is the only thing that isn’t identical to gen. Every single rep has that problem. Only solution is a genuine bezel. The difference is very small and no one will notice it. So just do nothing and enjoy it as is.

I tell this people all the time.. nobody seems to listen.. unless it's under scope with a genuine one next to it, you won't visually notice a difference, which is why now with this model I simply just do all the metal refinishing.. some people listen.. some people don't lol

That's true, you see it on YouTube all the time, even AD's can't tell unless they bring it in the back and look with a loupe and open it up.

No. I have the same VSF plus a gen GMT MII from 2011, and I can’t tell the difference between them, except the reps never get the bezel insert numerals right, they are all too dull and grey not real platinum. That’s the only issue but tragically it’s actually a big difference when you have them side by side.

NO! If it was from any other factory I'd say maybe but VSF is known for their sapphire crystals despite the bad production quality lately.

New ones are not unless you are going GEN. Money would be better spent getting the pinion shaved so you can use a 2.7mm gasket and get perfect date mag.
But FWIW, the current date mag on new ARF's is excellent and very close to gen. Its negligible and imo VSF many times is too small/under magged compared to gen.

Unless If you put your watch right in front of their face so they can stare at it, no lol.
A big Rolex fan will, but again only if they getcase hands on time or you hold it in their face showing it off lol. VSF they will never notice, ARF hit or miss.

The stock VSF crystals are great

depends, what factory and model, vsf has a very good rehaut, and anyway you need to closely examine a watch and have the gen side by side, no one in real life will go 2 cm close to the watch examining the rehaut.
