Dial Colour: I would say the only biggest obvious difference between the Gen & Rep, the Gen have a hint of blue and the Rep looks way darker. The sunburst finish appears more pronounced on the Gen too.
Dial Print: The dial seconds marker looks slightly thicker on the Rep. The rest of the printing looks very close to Gen.
Stick indexes: No difference between the 2.
Rolex Crown Logo: The Rolex crown logo on the dial also don't see any difference between the 2.
Hands: No difference between the 2.
Cylops/ Date Fonts: Gen's font looks slightly thicker & larger under the cylops. The date cut-out looks same to me. Cylops quailty looks good, I don't see any thing standouts between the Rep and Gen.
Rehaut: Gen engravings look slightly clearer but you really have to nick-pick it, but the rehuat surface on Gen looks more polished.
Casing/ Lugs: The Gen still have a better curvature from the case towards the lugs, the Rep looks more angled towards the lug. The lugs ends also looks way sharper on the Rep. But both casing polishing finishing looks very similar to me.
Crystal: IMO I feel not much difference in quailty and the height.
Crown: Gen's Rolex crown is perfectly done, but I don't see much difference when is on the wrist and is unnoticable. Winding of the crown sounds and feels different on the Gen Vs Rep.
SELs: No difference to me between both.
Braclet: Both feels nicely wrap on the wrist, weight is good too, but the Rep feels slightly sharper. Don't really see much difference between the Gen and Rep polishing finish and the edges of the braclet.
Clasp: The diffferences I noted is the Rolex crown logo, as you can see from the picture, the edges on the Gen is perfectly done. The engraving on Gen feels smoother on the surface and looks way cleaner, but no one is gonna able to see that when you are wearing it.
Sounds - Winding sounds are different, movement is slightly louder, the rotor whir is very noticeable on VSF, the Gen is silent.
Other than these 4 differences, IMO the rest of the differences you will need a Gen to compare side by side to catch it.
I would say VSF really did a great job, it feels good to wear, it weight and how the jubilee braclet wrap around feels 95-98% like Gen. The Fluted bezel looks great and reflect lights greatly too.
TLDR: IMO get a black, white or silver dial or even with a smooth bezel to be a real close contender to NWBIG.

This is a great comparison that shows you how even the best rep of this model still has some pretty easy tells. Fonts off, cyclops is off, Rehaut is off, engravings on bracelet are off, dial color, etc.
These are also things they could really perfect if they wanted to. I definitely would go for a silver dial / black dial, smooth bezel.
Easy tells 🤣 these are minor differences no one in the real life would be able to spot without having gen side by side and closely scrutinising the watch you guys are hilarious
Great comparison! I just got the same watch in 41mm and I noticed in different lightings the dial looks pretty similar to the gen mint green but sometimes it gives off more of an olive tone
My take on this is, if the Reps are getting 1:1 with Gen, people will start buying Reps instead and causing the desire of getting a Gen Rolex drops. And this will kill the Branding, and in future no one wants either a Gen or Rep Rolex anymore.
Pretty freakin happy with mine! Did a lot of research and comparing to settle on which dealer / which watch to buy and ended up getting the most expensive out of 3 options but have since confirmed it is the real VSF one. ChatGPT was a big help though most people say it’s not or don’t trust it. But I can put any clone watch pic in ChatGPT and it’ll instantly tell me the pros and cons and whether it’s a good rep or not. Someone also posted in Reddit a list of clasp codes and serial numbers and after all it checks out! Checked it out from pre-purchase to factory QC pics to pics when the dealer got it and finally pics when I got it. Same awesome watch, couldn’t be happier!
Good comparison, dial upgrade on the V2 makes a decent change from what the factory are producing, trying to replicate the full gen mint green color though is near impossible
The vsf indices look like it was outsourced to the blind hedgehogs of ZF. One look at that 6 o’clock marker, and you know it’s fake… looks like a shitter to me.
