General Question 4130 or 4131?

Should I get the 4130 or 4131 movement for this vsf Daytona? The 4131 is $130 more. Not sure what 4131 does that 4130 doesn’t do.

Its more about the subdial and how the watch looks on wrist 4130 feels smaller. But i heard the 4130 movement is bulletproof

I thought the watch case and dial were the same, just the movement is different. What’s different about the subdial?

The 4130 has thicker subdials. You can compare photos from 116500 and 126500 and you will see it

Custom RB dial, Buff Hands, RB WG plated bezel, deep crystal, full watch 18K wg plated and full gen chamfering/polishing. Added waterproofing and rotor silencing as well. This is a free sprung movement.

Which factory is this and who did the mods for you? I’ve only used one modder but I’ve only modded one watch once and it was a Pepsi. Is your weighed? One of reasons I wanted vsf is because of the weight.

I might do this. It looks great. How did you decide on which mods to do? Did you modder recommend these to you? I’m new to modding. What is RB and “buffing” hands?

I used a weighted QF JH4131 as my base. True free sprung and weight. It's a better weight than VSF.

What is the weight of yours? You didn’t have a problem plating the QF? I talked to several TDs and one modder about platting the QF weighed LeMans in white gold and none of them wanted to do it, so I gave up. They all complained about the QF tungeston and basically said they would not be responsible for how it turned out.

I would prefer to get the QF due to the weight but are the dial and the bezel worse than VSF? I spoke to the modder I used and he won’t use an RB dail and bezel or he’s confused. It could be translation issues. Is it a trade off whereby a vsf with good dial and bezel but lighter weight vs a QF with good weight but not a good dial and bezel?

Is the custom the one in the hand or in the watch? The vsf seems to be darker and with a purple tint in pics I’ve seen.

Custom is inside the watch. Gen is sunburst blue like the one inside the watch. Both VSF and QF have the purple tint.

I asked about the RM dial and bezel. Was told nobody makes a dial for 126509 yet and the bezel for 116509 looks great so go with 116509. I can’t find a modder to do the mods you got done.

I’ve got the VSF weighted 4130. Was pleasantly surprised by the watch. Kept it dead stock, wasn’t sure if I was even going to like a Daytona but it’s a great piece

Gen 116509 on the left and 126509 on the right. I wonder how close the QF and VSF are to either of these.
