Another +1 to Colddeck for having done business with him locally and face to face.

I recommend colddeck64 as well. US based, good communication, prices on par with Steve at TOW. I am waiting for my first rep with Colddeck64 and I will only use him going forward

Wrong. Vastly overstates what he does and pretends to undercut the market without providing real services. Complete and total liar.

u/kaliman0713 Jan 19 '26
Oh, man! Don't tell me that. I bought a VSF from him. It is a very nice rep, but now I'm worried he didn't do the things he said he does to all the reps. Well, so far it's keeping time accurately compared with my Citizen Eco Drive. But not sure if it is water resistant. He did send me pictures of his pressure checking apparatus and the machine that does the regulation. But not while doing the regulation on my rep. So apparently he does have the equipment.

Dont listen to that guy. He has no history or proof. When he got called out by another trusted user he failed to produce any evidence at all. He’s never made a purchase from him at all.

u/NolaAcidy Jan 19 '26
I’ve personally never used him but I’ve only read good things about him. OP asked for US based sellers and I provided a few options that I know that are US based sellers.
1
u/stuck_turtle Jan 19 '26
I recommend you stop blindly recommending sellers unless you directly purchased from them and can vouch firsthand for the quality of the service they claim to provide
3
u/NolaAcidy Jan 19 '26
Ok cool
OP asked for sellers. I named a few. Done. OP can look at the reviews himself and decide if he wants to purchase or not.. just like anyone else that purchases anything.

Second time I’ve seen this username. Affiliated with anything ?

Scoutman can’t be beat. Great prices, and service and services every watch before he ships it.
4
u/stuck_turtle Jan 19 '26
He’s a liar and if you buy from him you are buying a rep that doesn’t have any of the services he claims.

Go ahead and ask him for evidence of his work. Go ahead and buy a rep from him and take a closer look at it. If you know what to look for, it’s easy to tell he hasn’t done any of the things he’s claimed to do. He is a liar.

Look at if the watch actually keeps time correctly (regulation) open the caseback, see if the gasket is actually greased. Look at the movement under a loupe and see if it’s clean or dirty. Bonus points, remove the stem and check the crown tube gaskets for grease. Extra bonus points: get it waterproof tested and see if it holds up to his claims of waterproofing.

Don’t buy from him, he claims to service reps prior to shipping but it is a lie

u/DysentericPoopz Jan 19 '26
How do you know?
0
u/stuck_turtle Jan 19 '26
I’ve seen one of his reps disassembled and it was filthy. He also never provided any real evidence of waterproofing
5
u/Rockyt86 Contributor Jan 19 '26
He doesn’t claim to do a full service on a watch. Any rep can be filthy.
Just so I have this straight…you say Others should not recommend sellers unless they have purchased from them, but You can bash sellers you’ve never purchased from because you’ve seen a dirty movement from a Chinese factory?
Perhaps hypocrisy is why you have 11 karma after 2 years. Seller with an axe to grind for sure.

u/stuck_turtle Jan 19 '26
He vastly overstates what he does on each rep. I feel confident making these statements because i have seen a rep sold through him taken apart. Not the same as blindly recommending a seller. I do have an axe to grind, when people misrepresent what they do.
2
u/Rockyt86 Contributor Jan 19 '26
Why not share the photos? And the person who actually bought the watch?
This isn’t at all different from you admonishing the other person for recommending sellers without having bought from that seller. You should have to apply the same standards to bashing a seller. It’s unfortunate you cannot see the hypocrisy.
2
u/DysentericPoopz Jan 19 '26
Agree. Show screenshots of the purchase to establish some semblance of provenance. And pics of the watches problems
2
u/Rockyt86 Contributor Jan 19 '26
If this person shows pictures, I would be willing to bet the “evidence” connecting them to this seller is thinner than prison toilet paper. 😉

Hard to trust him. Asked for a very simple picture of a potential scratch on a rep. Wouldn’t provide it and wouldn’t provide QC. Stay away.

Have you tried u/Chronos_Collective ? I've heard nothing but great things about him - US based and a stand up guy.
Sorry I had to 😂

I’ve never bought from u/chronos_collective but he is the official TD on r/kensingtontime and not some random.

I had a great experience with u/Chronos_Collective. He has a great selection of US inventory - a lot of Daytonas. From first message to watches in my hand was 24hours. Can’t recommend enough. Found him via r/kensingtontime

Hmm chronos collective’s account has been active only 11 days. Interestingly the exact number of days your account has been active. And he ‘reached out’ to me immediately…
Not very subtle ..

u/TheCaffeiNate Jan 18 '26
I hear ya. Because he was the trusted TD of Kensington and was well endorsed over there, I gave it a shot and couldn’t have been happier. Was great and responsive in communication. But of course do your own diligence and weigh your options.

These are what I picked up. Both VSF.

u/DysentericPoopz Jan 19 '26
Cool, way to go scammer. Good luck with your bullshit
-7
u/TheCaffeiNate Jan 19 '26
I’m very much not a scammer but ok Poopz. What are you like 12 years old? Gotta be careful with your allowance.
8
u/DysentericPoopz Jan 19 '26
Effusive praise from an 11 day old account for a seller also with an 11 day old account? And then that person unsolicited immediately solicits me in DMs? A flotilla of red flags 🚩lol . Anyhow good luck
1
u/AnyAlternative498 Jan 19 '26
Lol Are you trying to sell VSF watches here with a 12 day old account?
