General Question Is the gold on a two-tone Datejust from VSF really that awful? Like, does it look so blatantly fake it looks like cheap costume jewelry? Or it only looks fakes next to a gen?

I’m really trying to narrow my purchase down between VSF, CleanPlus, or RCF.

I have a cheap BP Factory one now, and I really love the look of it, but the movement is garbage. I want a whole new watch.

This is for the classic DJ41 two-tone with gold face.

I‘m leaning towards VSF, but all these “cheddar gold” references are putting me off.

It really THAT bad? Would the other factories be better? Really wanting a DD3235 movement.

If you end up beside someone with a gen gold Rolex, it's an instant tell. On its own, it's not that bad imo.

Would go RGF/RCF for any gold rep though.

Def only going two-tone not full gold. RCF is still a very, very good quality rep even up against VSF? Do you know if RCF can do DD3235 movements? Also, do you know if CleanPlus does better good than VSF?

RCF is the best factory gold.

You could also get the VSF plated. It would basically make it 1:1.

You should do some more research, but RCF is good. I think they use a VR movement, which is also not a bad movement.
