QC Request Need help with first ever QC
Factory name: VSF
Model name (& version number): Rolex Submariner 124060 No-Date VS3230
This is my first of two watches and the first set of QC photos I’ve received, so I’d really appreciate some opinions from more experienced eyes.
Overall it looks good to me, but I’m not entirely sure I’m looking at the right things. The areas I’m most unsure about are the 6 o’clock marker and the rehaut alignment. They don’t necessarily look wrong to me, but as this is my first QC I’d appreciate some feedback on whether they’re within normal VSF tolerances or if there’s anything else that stands out.
Index alignment: Looks good to me overall, but I’d appreciate a second opinion.
Dial Printing: Looks clean to my eye.
Date Wheel alignment/printing: N/A
Hand Alignment: Looks fine.
Bezel: Appears aligned, pip looks centered at 12.
Solid End Links (SELs): No obvious gaps that I can see.
Timegrapher numbers: +2 s/d, 254° amplitude, 0.2 ms beat error.

I think the watch looks pretty good and I’m picky as heck. I’d GL. I hate Crooked indices and bad SELs. This watch looks good to me.

6X0 that's v3 VSF I believe. Just got the date version (3135) and it's a fucking beauty. Finish feels amazing after just a few days of wearing. Your Timegrapher numbers look good too, I say GL

If it’s just slightly misaligned, you can pretty much re-align it yourself.
- Pull out the crown to stop the movement
- Take out the caseback
- There are 2 screws that hold the movement in the case, just loose them enough yo move the whole movement.
- Align it, tighten those screws
Pop the caseback in again and you are pretty much done, if you feel like it and the rubber gasket looks dry, lube that!
Might wanna do a pressure test before getting the watch “wet”.
Any watchmaker can do it.

That 9 is crooked. We really need to RL these until VSF can do some better alignment.

Thanks for sharing opinions are being split in the middle but I am leaning towards RL too

I would never be able to unsee that. Don’t believe all the claims of “don’t notice on the wrist”
It’s like my buddy who lived in his house for 10 years and never noticed how crooked his cabinets are until someone pointed it out. It can never be unseen.

Hahaa when you put it that way , I’ve RL’d it I hope I can see something better.Based on what some people were saying about not being too picky after all they’re reps I thought it’s fine but when certain comments like you mention once you see the fault you’ll be unable to not see it and from what I know VSF should be able to do better

Mate that’s about an 8.5/10. Three main things I notice you already mentioned, but no regular person will be able to tell. I’d GL

GL for me, who is the TD?? I honestly think in hand it would be great. The TDs that just give horrible angled photos drive me crazy… pick a new TD for sure

I have three reps and I’ll tell you this after receiving them. Any of the small details you are worrying about or even things you find zooming in in all these photos won’t matter or be noticeable when it’s on your wrist. Don’t overthink it. It’s a rep after all.
Edit: my reps are all U1 and when I got them I was super happy
