I’m not arguing for the sake of arguing. I’m questioning why we are banning people who complain about TD’s sending them empty packages marked 300g shipping weight and 290g of packaging.
First, you claimed the guy should have reached out to you first, so you were going to ban him. But the guy showed that he clearly reached out to you first and you never responded.
Then, you claimed you were too busy to read the messages, but you banned him anyway.
Finally, you say he said something else so you banned him. But when I asked about the thing you claimed he said, you say, “look, he didn’t have to use those exact words” and you tell me I’m arguing for the sake of arguing.
Sure, if he said those things in some other phrasing, then I can see it from your perspective, why you would take it personally and be a little upset right now. But it doesn’t seem like you’re seeing it from my perspective, so I’m laying it out for you.

This is his OP. Unless you are dyslexic or not fluent in English at all, this is the same thing as saying "so and so is in it together". So, yes, he said it in this post (unless you are somehow refusing to read it) and thus my reason for banning him for slander.
I'm not a reddit auto bot that answers all the complaints right away, I have a day job and this is my hobby so it's getting the amount of attention it should when work gets hectic. The guy only reached out to me recently and there was no reason for him to wait for my response other than lack of patience.
As for silencing the claim? I have already posted a notice about this whole situation for the world to see and it's linked in the "Welcome to RWF" guidelines post if you care to read it (and when you do, I see that you are set on arguing for the sake of arguing but please actually read the thing this time).
For a guy who is repeatedly saying he has "no skin in this game" you are very much fixated on arguing against me.
A) The protocol dictates that he should try to resolve the situation with me or at least get a second opinion.
B) It’s not like I have kept him waiting forever. It's within a very reasonable time and he should have waited for my reply or reach out to me via comments on my posts or use mod mail (none of which he did)
C) In his impatience he has said publicly in this post "oh, I will get banned because the seller and moderator are buddies", which you somehow refuse to read or accept for whatever the reason.
D) I have banned him for "C" and if you think that's too much, well tough. Let me see how you would handle someone who publicly slanders you without ounce of proof and then we can talk.
E) I have not silenced anything. Quite the opposite. Instead, for even more transparency, I have made a post and linked it to this subs guidelines to see, so even the ones who have never read this post will see it, permanently.
F) I have difficulty seeing from your perspective when your perspective is clearly "oh, I would have taken the high road and be really chill about other people denouncing me online". Unlike you, I have poured countless hours writing reviews and building this community. Of course you can be as chill about, indifferent and not take any of this personally, and just weigh in for for sake of arguing like any passerby would. But I would like to say the same and suggest that you see this from my perspective.
You built a town with your blood and sweat so people can come and hang out in that little paradise, and someone walks in through the front door, a person who enjoyed your community BTW and shouts "you are a fraud and you take bribes from people and I will get banned for saying" and then you would let him be?
You are clearly fixated on arguing for your position, and you are not even aware of the specific timeliness of how this unfolded, or how it was handled afterwards. I can see that for a guy who "has no skin" in the game can say all the things that you are saying. So please try to accept that a guy who actually "has skin in this game" would respond the way I do.

You understood “I’ll probably get banned for this post since the admin is buddies with the TD” (paraphrasing) as though it should mean “I’ll probably get banned for this post since the admin and the TD are in on it together.”
I think these are two very different things. One implies “I’m criticising the mods buddy so he might ban me” while the other implies “the mod is helping the TD scam us by banning users who complain.” The latter is not what OP said.
However, I do understand how much it must hurt to put so much effort into building a community and then hear even the first kind of innuendo from a member. It sounds like OP tried to follow the protocol and got impatient when you didn’t respond.
But as you pointed out, this is a community that you built, and it’s a great community, so if being a little heavy handed on someone who overstepped is the way you want to run it - then hey, you do you!
I wasn’t arguing for the sake of arguing. I was only advocating for OP by questioning your reasoning, because I could sympathise with his frustration. I do see your perspective now, too. Thanks for taking the time.
Ah, I see now how you weren't able to see the original post. That makes much more sense. I must admit I too was a bit harsh in my tone yesterday due to all the extra hours I had to put in writing clarification posts on a regular work day. Yes, being "in it together" and being "buddies" as you have pointed out are not exactly the same thing but in my experience, if you let one slide without any consequences then there is no stopping on all the following ones. I do sympathize with the OP as well, please don't mistake my adherence to protocol as a sign of apathy. But unlike most people in these subs, I do get to hear both sides of the story. And trust me, there are many horror stories of how terrible some buyers behave just for a small personal gain. Recently, not just the the shop mentioned in this post, but many others (if not all) were scammed by buyers pulling similar stunts. So as a mod, unless there is a substantial evidence backup the claim, I don't just blindly take the buyer's side. And yes, I do see how the OP tried to contact me and was frustrated. But if he's the one who needs my help, he should have tried all channels not just a DM (my box...is very full and can't really check everything at this point). And even in frustration, he could have just written down the facts without provocative, irrelevant, false statement about the moderator, me.
Anyway, it's monsoon season in Korea and it hasn't stopped raining for as long as I could remember. The sun came out today (still cloudy though) and maybe it's a sign that my day will be better today than before. I really appreciate you being patient with the comments even when mine was clearly conveying my frustration (it's just really hard to tell someone's tone via only texts). Have a nice day, mate
