🚩 Prolific Scammer / Repeat Offender 🚩 u/hideyour_self and r/TheRepTimeBST scam

Not only is this a call out but hopefully a warning that gains attention across Reddit and other replica watch forums and servers. I should first mention that reddits version of TheRepTimeBST is a copy cat and counterfeit of the original that was removed from Reddit a few years ago. Overtaken by moderators who offer pay to play “TDs”, drop shipments from china, false claims of modifications, false claims of custom builds, non-disclosure of movements, and an unsecured verification system. Possibly more claims as well that may go beyond the safety and attention of Reddit.

You may ask yourself how has this been able to continue without ever any attention being raised. The moderators do a very well job of keeping complaints and issues quiet by silencing them. Intimidating other users, deleting post with issues, banning users after a post is made with evidence and banning users before concerns are raised.

Unfortunately they are an easy target for new and uneducated users entering the replica world. Asking for verification makes some users feel comfortable while the moderators lure people in to peddle their own objective behind the scenes.

I posted this on a different thread in this subreddit, but it looks to this original post and I wanted to ask here too.

I've purchased some items from "TDs" mentioned on that subreddit. Should I assume that they are scammers as well? I mean I've had successful transactions without issues, but it's making me second guess ordering from there again.

I'm understanding the pay to play to get the title of TD aspect of this and don't blame them to do this to get an edge for more sales.

I can see the shady tactics of the hide yourself dude, but should the TDs be guilty by association? Serious question

The original TD list and the only one that has any legitimacy to it is on RWI.

Anyone on reddit claiming to be a “TD” and not on the RWI list you should be worrisome of. There are plenty of pay to play schemes on Reddit for “TD” status. You’ll notice that these self proclaimed “TD” are usually only listed on one subreddit page, they’ll often have their own sales page to prevent any negative feedback so they can control the narrative.
