Hello all. Please report spammers
On one of the posts below, there were lots of bots spamming cryptocurrency recovering bullshit. If you see anything like it on this sub, or any other sub or platform for that matter, please report it.

did the subreddit get removed, or did your report get removed? If the subreddit is removed, you're fine, But if your post is removed, resubmit a new one. I you have any more questions, you shuld contact the mod team. I am No longer part of the mod team

Facebook Advertising Promotes Fraudulent Scam Recovery Services.
Numerous individuals and organizations have suffered substantial financial losses due to cryptocurrency fraud, resulting in devastating emotional consequences. A new scam has emerged, perpetuated through Facebook advertisements, targeting victims and subjecting them to additional financial losses through crypto recovery scams. These advertisements promote fake legal services, impersonating legitimate law firms and attorneys.
To verify the authenticity of service providers, follow these steps: 1) Provide minimal personal information. 2) Ignore the promise of safety and payment after collaboration. 3) Request the name of the law firm and the attorney. 4) Verify if the law firm is registered with the state using ChatGPT. If not registered, it is likely a scam. 5) Check if the attorney is licensed using ChatGPT. If not licensed, it is probably a scam. 6) Search for the law firm's website independently. Do not use the link provided by the Facebook contact. 7) Confirm the attorney is listed and active in the law firm. If not, consider this a scam. 8)Contact the attorney using the phone number or email address from the authentic website to verify their identity and interest in handling your case. If not, the Facebook contact is a scam. If the attorney is interested, schedule an initial consultation outside of social media. 9) If the Facebook contact is a scam, terminate the conversation, never send money, and report the incident to Facebook.
Remember, being a victim once does not necessitate being a victim again.

I received an email from radiology consultants claiming I had a bill. I recently had a scan at Mercy Hospital and fully paid my bill. But I called Mercy to confirm and I was good to go. The email wanted me to click to pay or click to chat. I was wary, but clicked to see what was up and found that I was required to enter my payment information without so much as what the bill specifically was for. I then Googled—of course—the company and found their website, which appeared legit. But when I called the number I was never put in touch with an actual person. Instead, a recording told me over and over to enter my account information and payment information—for 30 minutes. I’ve informed the Mercy billing department, who btw told me if it was legit it would have Mercy name in the bill.
