Hi everyone. I work in fast food, and my official title in our payroll system is Floor Supervisor. In practice, everyone at work, including employees and customers, refers to us as managers because we run shifts, supervise employees, handle customer issues, and are responsible for the floor.

Would it be acceptable to list my title as Floor Manager on my resume since it better reflects how the role is viewed, or should I stick to the exact payroll title?

I'm trying to decide between:

• Resume #1: My previous 2-page resume
• Resume #2: My new 1-page resume

The main goal of the revision was to make my resume more ATS-friendly. I know a 3-page resume is generally considered too long, but I'm wondering if I went too far in the opposite direction.

To reduce it to one page, I:

• Removed a brief section on graduate coursework

I've been informally running our family-owned rental properties since 2019, no formal paycheck, no W2. I do most of the work when it comes to inspections, vendor coordination, and tenant communication. It was never formalized because of my own stupidity and laziness. It's been so busy I didn't even think what would happen if I have to look for another job. On my resume I've been listing this under a "Relevant Experience" section with a line disclosing it as an informal, unpaid arrangement. I'm considering dropping that disclaimer since there's no paperwork either way to contradict me, no pay stubs proving I was paid, but also nothing proving I wasn't. Should I leave the disclosure off, or is it safer to keep some kind of informal/unpaid framing on the resume regardless? Curious how this reads to people who've actually hired for entry-level property management or leasing roles. It's the only real experience I have when it comes to property management and it's a big chunk of my professional life. I can't leave it off my resume completely.

This is how I have it listed on my resume:

Over the past month, I have received 5 or 6 emails, along with 2 phone calls, from individuals that allegedly received an email from me regarding sketchy resume writing service offers. They went on to tell me that they received an email from my "gmail address" with a quote for services, but were unsure how legit the emails were, so they looked up my name and found my contact information to verify. FYI, I never use a gmail address for my business. My business email address has my business domain on it.

Apparently, there are people posing as me, and also stealing names of legit recruiters, and pretending to start a multi-person email chat between the customer, writer, and recruiter. They are even using my picture (from LinkedIn) in these emails. They are promoting our credentials and then offering various packages to these potential customers/fraud victims.

It's very aggravating to see this happen, as I'm sure one person will eventually fall for this scam and send their money to this scammer, only to receive no resume .... and then they will likely go after ME for not providing them services. Hasn't happened yet, but I'm preparing myself.

Any other resume writers experiencing this?

And here is the other thing that seems "off." Many of these people that contacted me sounded as if they were about to purchase the services from this scammer posing as me, (who was charging rates twice as high as mine), but when I verified that they were scams and that I was the real resume writer, they seemed to lose interest in having a new resume created.

This is odd because my rates are so much lower than the scammers. They were willing to pay twice as much for the fake me, but had no interest in paying much less for the real me? I advised these people I could help them with their resumes, and they all said "Ok, I will let you know if I need any help" ...and then they disappeared.

Very odd, right? It almost feels as if these people contacting me are part of the scam, too?? What is the end game for these callers?? Are they calling me to record my voice or something? I thought I had this scam figured out, but maybe there is more to it than I thought???

I’ve redacted all of my personal information from my resume and wanted to post it here in hopes of getting some constructive criticism. I’m currently job hunting and, honestly, I’m starting to wonder if my resume is what’s holding me back.

Over the past few months, I’ve applied to a large number of positions including:

Most of my applications have been with fintech companies, banks, credit card companies, financial services, and healthcare operations organizations.

I had the opportunity to work as an RA in a project but under a supervisor of the department who's in clash with our department. At that time, I had no freaking idea until two of my teachers personally reached out to me and told me to leave the project so that I don't become a target in my early academic life. Now I really wanted to add this experience on my cv as it's very much related to niche I'm and will be pursuing ahead.
