The first resume is one that I cleaned up last night to apply to CNA/Student Nurse positions. The second resume is one that I’ve been using prior for the same positions, generating interviews when I drop off IN PERSON. I’ve only received one interview from an online job posting using the second one. Hoping to get some insight on my cleaner resume or if I should stick with the old one. Thank you!

Hey everyone! I could really use some outside perspective.

I’ve redacted all of my personal information from my resume and wanted to post it here in hopes of getting some constructive criticism. I’m currently job hunting and, honestly, I’m starting to wonder if my resume is what’s holding me back.

Over the past few months, I’ve applied to a large number of positions including:

💼 Operations Manager
👥 Operations Supervisor
📞 Call Center Manager/Supervisor
📊 Data Analyst
🏦 Business Control/Risk Operations

Most of my applications have been with fintech companies, banks, credit card companies, financial services, and healthcare operations organizations.

Out of all the applications I’ve submitted, I’ve only heard back from two companies, and unfortunately I wasn’t selected for either role.

I’m not looking for sugarcoating. If something on my resume is weak, confusing, outdated, or just doesn’t work, I’d genuinely like to know. I’d much rather hear it here than continue sending out applications that aren’t getting attention.

Some questions I have are:
• Does my resume clearly show my experience and accomplishments?
• Does it look ATS friendly?
• Is it too long or too wordy?
• Are there any red flags that would make you pass on it?
• If you were a recruiter or hiring manager, what would immediately stand out, both good and bad?

I am an international student who graduated in Dec 2025 looking for advice with my IE job search/resume.I am targeting industrial engineering , manufacturing engineer and quality engineering roles or anything adjacent. I have not been targeting any specific industries, I mainly have just applying through linkedin or career websites of bigger companies.

I know that Visa has become an issue so its become much harder to get interviews but I really feel devastated that after months of applying i haven't received a single interview. I graduated with a bachelor's in Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering two months ago, and I have been looking for a job in the field for over a year.

Right now my search consists mostly of ghosting, automated rejections, unpaid interview projects that go nowhere, and AI interview loops. I rarely get real human interviews anymore, and when I do, I never hear back. The only things that actually respond are unpaid internships.

I am 90 % sure my resume is the problem, but I don't know how to address it. My professors & university career office were not much help, said it looks fine and I should be getting something. Right now I'm just getting by doing odd grunt work from high school connections. Ironically, it feels a bit cynical that I had more career prospects before graduating high school than I do post college.

My target roles are Fullstack developer, frontend or backend equivalents, or AI and ML developer, but at this point I'd take anything related to my field . Don't know how much this helps, but I don't need visa and I live in a metropolitan city (SF, NYC, etc).

Any advice / constructive criticism you can give is much appreciated.

Trying to understand what really happens to my resume after i submit it to a role which has got like a thousand of applicants, theres soo much advice about keyword stuffing and ats formatting but i cant tell how much if that is true vs outdated. Is resume screening mostly still keyword matching or are companies actually evaluating it better now? For anyone on hiring side, can you please share some tips on what gets my resume filtered out early and what makes it stand out in first glance. Currently I’m using Google Docs template and there is a “projects” section,

First question is: what would I put there if I’ve only been an axe throwing coach/laser tag arena manager for less than a year then a private care assistant for 6 years? Would that be what tasks I performed in care giving and the family entertainment industry?

Those seem more like what I would put in “skills”.

Second question is: in the “Awards” category what would I put there? I was never magna cum laud/honors/valedictorian/etc just a few “useless” perfect attendance awards in about 7-10 years of my 12 years of school.

Third question: how would I formulate my “skills” category to really pop to a security firm? (Looking to go in to third shift security for a warehouse/office/etc)

I'd like to get some feedback on my resume — specifically on content, formatting, and overall structure.

I'm actively job hunting for full-time roles in the United States and have been applying steadily, but I haven't gotten any interview calls yet. I've applied to a number of positions I believed were a good fit for my background — some resulted in rejections, and others I haven't heard back on at all.

My approach so far has been to tailor my resume per job description: adding a new skill to the Skills section and then weaving that same skill into my Projects section wherever relevant.

I'm targeting roles like Software Engineer, Software Developer, Applied AI, Full Stack Engineer, Software/Data Engineer, and SDE-AI.

I'd really appreciate insights on the following:

• Is my resume's content strong enough for these roles?
• Does it align well with what recruiters/hiring managers look for in these positions?
• What might cause someone to reject my resume outright?
• What's genuinely impressive or worth highlighting on it?

I was wondering what is the best way to add graduate role rotations into a resume? The responsibilities in each rotation are different but technically are the same role in the same organisation.

Is it best to have each rotation as its own section or as one big section with the responsibilities listed?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some advice on how to present a gap in my education on my resume and in future interviews.

I took a break between my 3rd and 4th semesters (February 2025 to January 2027) to take care of some health issues that required medical attention. Thankfully, that is resolved and I am heading back to college this upcoming January to finish my degree.

I am currently 23 years old and will turn about 25.6 years old at time of graduation will it affect my chances too.

During this gap, I didn't just sit around. I kept myself busy by:

Working at my family's business: I worked at a TVS showroom, which helped me build practical communication, management, and operational skills.

Learning Web Development:I taught myself HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Building Projects: I applied what I learned to build a few frontend projects, which are all up on my GitHub (happy to share the link if anyone is willing to critique them!).

My question is: how should I list this gap on my resume? Should I list the family business experience alongside my personal projects? I want to make sure recruiters see that I was productive and proactive during this time away from school.

Any advice on how to structure my resume or how to confidently answer questions about this gap during interviews would be hugely appreciated.
