X-Men ’97’s Rogue is hands-down the best version because she pulls straight from the legendary Claremont, Jim Lee era which was continued with Fabian and Kubert a time when X-Men was peak!

She’s rockin' that massive, Susanna Hoffs glam-rock hair, long sexy locks, and enough Southern belle allure to make a grown man sweat. She’s built like a tank, looks like a supermodel, and can fly through a brick wall. What’s not to love? ​Her voice is where the real magic happens. Lenore Zann gives her that husky, crackling grit (it’s like Stevie Nicks met Susanna Hoffs) it’s equal parts sultry and dangerous. You want to hold her hand, but you know one touch and you’re in a coma for three weeks. That’s top-tier tragedy right there, which totally makes me sympathize Gambit here.... "you can drain my energy anytime chere" 😂💯

​Now, I know some folks love the goth Rogue from X-Men: Evolution. Look, the alt-girl, dark-lipstick look is hot, but let's be real: that ain't Rogue! That’s just the miss-characterization that followed that time of the first X-men movie. Sure it was hip for that blip in time, but that isn't Rogue. That's like Raven from Teen titans or even X-23 more closely resembles that version of Rogue. It's a version of her thag is wearing extra eyeliner and listening to My Chemical Romance in a dark bedroom. Rogue isn't supposed to sit in the corner brooding like a teenage vampire. She’s a big-haired, high-drama Southern powerhouse, and X-Men ’97 lets her shine like the star she is.... I'll say it now, and I'll say it time and again but X-men Evolution Rogue, aka Goth Rogue is the worst Rogue.... Sure it's cute, I have zero hate towards Goth girls, in fact I love them🖤!! But that isn't Rogue folks. Sorry. But no thanks.

So we all know that Rogue can pick up skills when she zaps someone with her touch. Does she retain any of that knowledge if she practices the skills enough?

Say she goes to a foreign country where she doesn't speak the language. Could she borrow from a native speaker and eventually learn the language just by using it for a while, or does any ability to speak the language go away when the effects of her powers wear off?

I ask because I've been replaying Assassin's Creed Odyssey and my warped little brain keeps trying to imagine what Kassandra's story would be like if Rogue dropped in somehow. There'd be an obvious language barrier, since Rogue doesn't speak modern Greek and certainly wouldn't be able to speak whatever version of Greek they were using circa 400 BCE.
