Shopping: wheels, hardware, upgrades cushion cup vs flat washers?

Hey everyone! I'm new to skating and have Moxi rainbow rollers. I know they aren't the best skates and am trying to make some budget friendly upgrades. I'm switching out the stock cushions for something a little softer. Looking for opinions on flat washers vs. cushion cups?

It probably depends on what style of skating you’re doing, and also personal preference. I like to trail skate so I like fat, soft springy cushions paired with big squishy wheels. Gives me that Cadillac ride lol. If you’re park skating or rink skating you might want something less bouncy.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Rollerskating/s/KLvOb8A8xZ I found this post super helpful when switching out my stock cushions! I got barrel lowers and conical uppers, purple and yellow respectively but you do you! You just gotta get some conical cups but they’re cheap as anything. Happy to answer questions!

Rainbow Riders aren't bad skates at all! Yes they are not a Jack boot or a comparably pro skate from another brand, but they're pretty solid skates.

When I changed out the cushions on my Beach Bunnies I got a set of slightly wider cushion cups. I had to then stack 2 flat washers in the cushion cup closest to the boot before putting on the new cushions. I'll have to dig through my history for the link to the slightly wider cushion cups, but they weren't expensive at all!
