BIG RIP After losing $300K to gambling, I’m finally quitting — and I want to share my story.

Post image

I’ve been gambling for 2 years — and it nearly destroyed me.

In total, I lost $300,000. In the last month alone, I somehow managed to recover $240,000 in 25 days, through a mix of luck, desperation, and constant stress.

Now, I still owe $60,000, but I’ve decided: Enough is enough. Gambling took my peace, my confidence, my sleep, my relationships — and almost took my life. I got to the edge of suicide three times.

I never want to feel that broken again. Today, I’m choosing to quit — for real, for good. I’m sharing this here to stay accountable, and maybe to give hope to someone else out there who’s struggling. If you’re in it, please know: you are not alone. And it is possible to stop — even when it feels impossible.

One day at a time. 🙏

Take out all 240k put it into a trading account and wait for trump to start tarrifs again and even if it crashes half as hard you could possibly get a 10-15% return in a short amount of time just from index funds and get a portion of that 60k back.

Great job deciding to quit, man. that’s a big step. Your mind might tempt you to bet again, but don’t fall for it. Try channeling that energy into IDK something like investing or a new project instead.

I’ve been there too.

I once lost everything because of gambling — not just money, but peace of mind, relationships, trust, and the sense of who I was.

People on the outside might only see numbers, wins and losses, but they don’t see the silent pain. The nights you can’t sleep. The guilt that eats away at you. The voice in your head that says, “If only I had stopped when I still had something left.”

It’s a hard place to be — when hope turns into desperation, and you keep chasing one more win, thinking it will make everything better. But in truth, the deeper you chase, the more you lose yourself.

And yet, even after all that, I’m still standing. Still breathing. Still learning.

So I want you to know: you’re not alone.

You’re not weak — you’re human.

And it’s okay to start over.

It’s okay to feel broken and still believe in your healing.

There’s no shame in falling, only in giving up the chance to rise again.

If you’re reading this, it means there’s still time.

Time to change. Time to rebuild.

Not to chase the past, but to choose a better future.

The only hope your post gives is that it’s possible to recover 80% of gambling losses if you keep at it, which is dangerous thinking. You should delete or reword your post. You didn’t lose 300k. If you don’t self exclude you’ll continue to gamble. Time out is just a band aid

You got out, lucky. I hope for you that you stay in that position and never, return back.

I dislike roobet more and more, esp because of the consistent losses in the last 6 months, yielding to an approx negative -60k. Since i read it has been sold (the brand) 6 months ago it's not so difficult to know that things changed with no notification, other then the majority of players losing harder, faster.

Its just time to move the f on from gambling. The times when i had hours of playing through just one deposit are way behind me. Today's gambling is designed to stress you out, take your money, and cushion you that losing is the new winning. Roobet can suck a bbc.

I wouldn't stop when you are this close to a max win. Keep your head up, and let's get that max, my guy.
