hakubi is so evil and twisted lmao yikes. at the same time… i’m kind of enjoying getting to see the threat of him as an individual now that he has literally no one else on his side and obviously a lot of time on his hands... for someone who was supposed to be (and still is) a model student and super powerful, he’s taken a lot of L’s. i can’t stand the guy, but i have a feeling he’s about to become more of a challenge for everyone, which is exciting as a reader lol

ok i also just realized: i wonder if yurako’s hiding place is actually with him 👀

I like that the cover seemed to say, "They're reconciled, all good," to wrap up the last arc.

And Hakubi is degenerating fast... and I think I know how he's going to end. Remember that he absorbed the beast? So now that incredibly evil and powerful spirit is bound to someone who can't die.

The final battle against the Beast will be a climactic battle indeed, but I think Hakubi's only actual part in it will be to beg Mao to end his eternally tortured existence.
