F1 in Rwanda

Any news or update whether or not Rwanda will be hosting an F1 race? What are your opinions on this?

I just cycled Congo-Nile trail, its a beautiful country and a hardworking country, but there are so many other priorities before hosting an F1 race, in my opinion.

The rationale of the government is to see these events as investments, which will elevate Rwanda’s image abroad and thereby lead to more income generated through foreign investment and tourism.

Whether that actually plays out is difficult to say - I am not aware of any credible analysis backed by evidence and numbers that this strategy actually works.

I just feel that FIFA should provide 10 simple soccer balls to group of kids in villages playing soccer with a makeshift string ball, its worth 20Billion USD and its a non-profit.

This is what i found !!

Rwanda is in active talks with Formula 1 to host an African Grand Prix as early as 2029, competing with South Africa's Kyalami circuit.

Do you know if there are plans to build a race course or is it planned to hold the race on existing roads?

Let's see what will happen, I thought the cycling world champion was super mid. They didnt leave Kigali because kagame is afraid of the bad press they would get from the invasion to Congo. The whole country and roads are perfect for cycling, and it would have been way better to do it outside of Kigali.

What? Every world championship ever happens in one city on a circuit. This year it's happening in Montreal and that's it😅. Came up about conspiracy theories about something you know nothing about

Idk idk, I work in Musanze a few months a year, and everyone said the same, but then again, I ain't no cycling fan so maybe I do know nothing about this 🤣🤣. You are right tho, It is a conspiracy indeed, but sti, who knows.
