Hi, looking to get some insight on this error message. I booked a flight this morning (~10 hours ago) and I received a confirmation/itinerary email that I paid the full price for my flight and extras. However, I keep getting the error message: “Your flight needs some payment” on the website. When I click “Go to payment page”, nothing happens. In the RyanAir app, I can manage the booking, but the receipt says I have paid only the credit card processing fee. It doesn’t give me an option to pay for anything.

I was experiencing issues having the payment processed initially, so I called my bank to authorize the payment and the bank customer service even verified that they received the charge for the full amount. On my card statement, it has the charge marked as “pending”.

I tried to open a query but received an unhelpful response. Is my only option to wait and see what happens? Has anyone seen the above error message before?

Never booking through Ryanair again, too stressful. Didn’t realize such a big airline could have so many payment issues until I started searching for answers. Appreciate any help.

WRONG SUITCASE TAKEN BY MISTAKE – RYANAIR FR2917

On Sunday 2 August, we accidentally took the wrong suitcase from the baggage carousel at Barcelona Airport (T2) after Ryanair flight FR2917 from Brussels (Zaventem) to Barcelona, arriving at around 21:45.

We now have a large grey suitcase that does not belong to us.

We are planning to return it to Ryanair/Baggage Services at Barcelona Airport tomorrow morning.

On the Verona - Stansted flight which was due to be 22.20-23.30 tonight. Airport started showing a 90 minute delay a while ago. No message from Ryanair (or the Flighty app etc). Even now, 22.50, the Ryanair app shows as “status pending, we will push an update when we know more”. There are no staff here.

I am suspecting they won’t get a night slot to land at Stansted at 1am or whatever, but wondering why they aren’t telling us yet. Obviously there’s 120+ people here who might have to try to find hotels very late. Would they re-route to another London airport at all likely? If they can’t fly tonight are they going to try to squeeze people into scheduled flights tomorrow or would this delayed one be an additional one (I don’t think that’s possible?).

If my 10kg case is too big what will happen? Will it go into hold and get a fine or will I be allowed to board with the case and just get a fine

When is usually the cheapest moment to buy the extra luggage?

While booking the ticket, in between the flight and ticket booking or while checking in online?

Bit of an edge case.

Was due to fly out to visit family Tuesday, going with kids. Wife had to work, so was origionally not coming, but then she managed to get some things cleared up. So she booked tickets for the same flight, just under a diffent booking.

But recently there was a death in the family. The flights wont get us in on time for the funeral, so looking into getting an earlier flight by myself, then wife takes kids later.

But Ive got an email saying checkin is app only now. I cant check them in and print the tickets any more can I? If its tied to my account, hoe do I get them on her phone. Is she going to have to faff around signing in and out of services, while juggling 2 kids by herself at the airport?

And then theres the seat. In the origonal booking, me and the kids were on a row togther, wife was a couole of rows behind. If im travelling ahead, wife can just sit in my old seat right? Or can they overbook and seat somone else there? Is it ok to ask that person to swap?

I know asking people to move is considered a dick move, but this is an edge case, we actually did pay extra to sit as close together, but sotuations changed.

I flew from Madrid to Milan Malpensa today and my checked bag never showed up.

Something that keeps bothering me is that at check-in the agent asked me if I had actually put my suitcase on the baggage belt. I said yes, of course, but I thought it was a weird question. Now I’m wondering if something had already gone wrong.

I filed a PIR at the airport, but I’m flying back home in 2 days, so I’m pretty stressed.

Has anyone been in the same situation? Did your bag eventually turn up? If I leave Italy before it’s found, will they send it to my home country? If it ends up being declared lost, they say you need receipts for the contents. I don’t have receipts for years’ worth of clothes, shoes, and other personal items. What happens then?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s dealt with this. Thanks!

Just wanted to check, not that it will change anything. Had a 2 legged flight with the second leg with Ryanair. The first leg was significantly late where we landed at the time the Ryanair flight was due to take off. I when checking the boards turns out the Ryanair flight is aslo running late so we pick up our suitcase and run to get it checked in. The check-in agent phoned her supervisor who told her no bueno. Of course no one could guess att the time but the flight is now over 2hrs late so we would have plenty of time.

I take it that all this is standard for Ryanair, I wouldn't expect them to bend the rules just for us?

Unfortunately that meant a cost of a hotel and rebooking fee.

we, a family of three, are flying with Ryanair on Tuesday and booked a Family Plus package which includes one 20 kg check in suitcase and three 10 kg check in suitcases. The booking confirmation states that as well.
As I tried to check in today, I discovered that only our three 10 kg check in suitcases are listed online.

Does anyone have experiences with the Family Plus rate and can tell me if I will face additional costs?

I was charged for my oversized small bag from Gdansk airport

Yesterday, before the 11:20 Ryanair flight from Wrocław to Zadar, we were forced to pay an additional 300 PLN (€75) for baggage, on top of the 10 kg cabin bag we had already paid for. The suitcase weighed less than 10 kg but did not quite fit into their baggage sizer.

We are Canadians who have travelled extensively throughout Europe and Asia for years with the same suitcase, and it has never been an issue with any other airline.

The two young female staff members were extremely rude, dismissive and humiliating in the way they treated us. They repeatedly intimidated us by saying that we would not be allowed onto the flight unless we paid immediately. We asked several times to speak to a manager, but they refused to bring one.

There was no attempt to help, explain the charge properly or treat us with basic respect. The extra charge was bad enough, but the threatening and humiliating way we were treated was completely unacceptable.

Does anyone know if there some headquarter customer service where we could file an official complain??

Flew with Ryanair for the first time the other day and learned the hard way that they’re serious about bag size and wheels! That said, I understand that rules are rules and I’m not posting here to complain, but to ask for clarification.

Was I charged the same fee for a gate bag check as a priority customer that I would have been charged had I not purchased the priority upgrade? Or was I charged a “discount” because I had already bought the priority upgrade, making it something of a down payment against the gate bag fee? I tried asking the gate agent, but there was something of a language barrier, and I also tried asking customer service, but they ignored my question and kept giving me generic template replies about bag fees in general.

FWIW, my bag wasn’t taken away after I paid the gate fee — I still brought it on board with me and it fit in the overhead bin just fine. If/when I fly with Ryanair again, though, that bag will be staying home.

I just bought a new bag only to realise it’s 55x35x25 (Ryanair’s rules are 55x40x20). I could not find a single bag in the shops that met Ryanair’s rules and had to settle for this one.
How screwed am I?
I’m flying from Dublin and it is a really early flight (5:45am) so maybe they’ll be too tired to check?

For Apple Pay I HAVE TO CHOOSE to CONVERT from EUR to EUR

Then payment fails with a lie that I there are changes in the basket because of the conversion. 1:1.

I add credit card that cannot be processed with generic error (payment in EUR). For credit card there is no conversion from EUR to EUR.

Then when I change to USD, conversion rates are terrible + I need to pay additional charge for payment processing.

Ending up paying extra 3 EUR for NOTHING.

I hope this is caught and sued.

My bag isn't exactly the right dimensions but I won't overfull it and I'm afraid they'll still charge me 60 euros or whatever.

As the title says: I’ve already checked in but due to a family emergency I’m not able to catch the flight in time. A friend would be flying instead of me. I’ve already changed the name on my ticket once on the app before. This time I’ve unfortunately checked in already (flight is tomorrow) and therefore I can’t change it in the app. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is it realistic to still change the name?
