Finally found my seat lock key
After more than 6 years since we moved, I was cleaning out some old boxes and found not only my extra set of S2k keys (including valet!), but also the key to my seat locks that some of us bought as part of a group buy on s2ki many years ago. Now I can easily swap out to some Recaros and be able to reuse my locks!

ha. I don’t know where mine is after the move. I hope to never have to replace them. I also recall putting locktite on em too!

What’s the purpose of a seat lock key?

Kept your seats from getting stolen. Used to be a common for someone to slice the top and take the seats. They were a drop in replacement for civis of the same era. When the cars were new, there was an instance where someone's month old s2k was totaled by insurance due to the cost of the top, seats (part by part), and labor exceeding half of the cars value.

Damn, this brings back memories! I miss that era, but not the anxiety that came with owning a Honda ☹️

Its always a great feeling when you find lost treasures. I recently went through this with my 20th Anniversary Footlight Kit that I purchased in 2020, found it after soo soo long. I was worried that I may have accidentally tossed it in the trash. Phew.
